Jazz now has their entire 24.8 MHz block in B3 in one block instead of split up as it previously was with 5 MHz of ex-Warid spectrum being separate.

Your phone is still using the carrier firmware, so you won't be able to enable VoLTE even if you tried.

Try flashing the unbranded SM-N960U1 firmware and see if you can get it to work. No guarantee, but it's worth a shot and you'll also get rid of all the carrier branding and even get OTA updates.

it is an unbranded note 9 that has no carrier bloatware or anything and I get OTA updates now quarterly as it is an old phone. yes, I thought to flash the local firmware but the cons outweigh the pros. having VoLTE is a big plus but not worth the hassle and time I think.

LTE works fine on my phone but whenever I make a call It shifts to 3G as it is supposed to remain on LTE during the call.

You have to enable VOLTE from settings of your phone.

No option there in the settings as @murtaza12 mentioned I have to flash the local firmware for it to work bcz I had put my Sim in local note 9 F model and VOLTe was working.

Today I inserted my Telenor Pakistan's sim in my 3 years old Redmi S2 and strangely Telenor's VoLTE was working in Redmi S2 which has Android 9 with MIUI 12.0.2. It also suppprts Jazz's VoLTE. But Telenor VoLTE does not work on my POCO F3 which is running on Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 enhanced edition.

Btw, those on Mobilink and Warid (yes, mentioning the two specifically separately): are you able to dial 1218 and 1236? Please report back and mention the specific network you're on.

I'm on Mobilink and I can't dial the two numbers (051-1218 gives me a "wrong number" announcement in Urdu and English, whilst 1218 - without the area code - abruptly ends the call). I've lodged a complaint with them but Mobilink just can't seem to get their act together in most things now. They may have a proactive customer support team but their core network functionality, at times, drives me crazy.

And those on other operators, are you able to dial these two numbers?

So you can activate VoLTE on your Xiaomi.
VoLTE is generally disabled on our Xiaomi smartphones. To activate VoLTE on a Xiaomi , Redmi or POCO we only have to do the following steps:

1. Dial * # * # 86583 # * # *. After that, the message " VoLTE Carrier check was disabled " will appear, thus activating VoLTE on our Xiaomi.
2. Next we will go to Settings> SIM cards and mobile networks
3. Once inside we will activate the option Use VoLTE.
   • If our Xiaomi is a Dual SIM smartphone, the VoLTE option will be found in Settings> SIM cards and mobile networks> SIM1 / SIM2.

After activating VoLTE in our Xiaomi we can make voice calls in high definition through 4G, LTE or WiFi networks. That if everything depends on our coverage and if our operator has this service.

Telenor added OPPO, realme, Vivo and Samsung brands in list.. I guess they are testing VOLTE on Xiaomi brands.

VoLTE is already enabled and Jazz VoLTE is working perfectly in my POCO F3.

I am using Xiaomi 11T and there is no VoLTE option to activate. Is it safe to enable VoLTE using this code or should I wait for an update for auto enable ?

In Xiaomi you have to enable by dialing code. it remains disable by default

It shows two bands/spectrums: 20+5

Single band would only show 20 or 5 (or 10 here in the twin cities). Sometimes the app doesn't show two separate frequencies but shows it in this way (it happens on my phone too).

Anyone with a Samsung phone should be able to confirm if this is the case.

Have you received an update recently on your device? It might be supported by hardware before but wasn't enabled by Redmi and now it has been enabled via an OTA update.

No update as its an old device in xiaomi books but whatever the reason I still think its using only 1800Mhz

Dial *#*#4636#*#* open phone information of sim in which Jazz sim is (1 or 2). turn off mobile radio power once and turn it on again. Detail of LTE physical channel configuration will appear. if it is connected to 4G+, it will show both primary and secondary cell bandwidth. share screenshot
