Wasted 9 Rupees for Telenor hourly 500 mb package for these speed test.
Telenor 3G band 5 850 MHz
Telenor 3G band 1 2100 MHz
Seems like 850 MHz band 5 3G performing better because of less traffic due to lesser handset support.
Telenor 4G band 5 850 MHz
Seems like Telenor throttled youtube because 1080p, 720p and 480p all are not working on above speed.

I will suggest Telenor to shift its 2G on 5 MHz of 850 MHz band 5 along with its existing 4.8 MHz of 900 MHz band 8. And refarm its 5 MHz of 1800 MHz band 3 for LTE like Warid. Telenor may make carrier aggregation within 1800 MHz with one 5 MHz and two 1.4 MHz blocks within its allocated spectrum if possible. What you say.[MENTION=136639]zafarabbasrizvi[/MENTION]
That 2100 MHz speedtest is ridiculously quick. Wish other networks could be that fast.

Personally speaking, I don't think Telenor can redeem itself.
With its current state, refarming spectrum and setting up carrier aggregation seems like a far away thing for Telenor.
Zong hasn't exactly impressed me with a 40+ Mbps speedtest but I am expecting big things from them.
Also, what's the latest on the March 1800 MHz auction?

I too think that Telenor has restraint itself from upcoming head to head competition and Left Zong only to compete with Jazz in future. Zong is eating 3G cutomers of Telenor and Ufone every month and number of Zong's combined 3G and 4G users are already more than Telenor as per PTA report for the month of January 17.
Let us know with speedtests that how is your Zong going on.
There is still no progress of upcoming auction. PTA didn't even issued memorandum yet. They formed a committee last month to evaluate the need the spectrum.

Nope. Not yet. But I plan to move back to Mobilink in about two weeks. I had issues with PTCL and Qubee 3 years or so ago, so that's that... But regarding your predicament:
is one option. Another option is to pick another operator (why don't you choose another operator?). And a third option would be to use an external antenna and connect the device where SNR is higher (because where you're living, it's obvious Zong has poor SNR in your area, but that's not the issue across Abbottabad since you've said it yourself - on Wiredpakistan - that there are other areas in Abbottabad where speeds are better, and that 3G performs MUCH MUCH better than 4G in your area.
Also, why don't you relocate the device? Switch it from one corner of the house and place it in another corner of the house? I remember I had to do stuff like this when I was using Qubee (sometimes, changing the ANGLE of the device, whilst it's in the same location/surface/coordinates, can make a difference as well since walls reflect signals).
Or quick fix: ditch Zong and use another network if it doesn't work for you. Telenor isn't working for me, so I'm switching. Zong works for me most of the time, but i have other issues with it.

PS: I know we don't have super fast speeds, but wouldn't you rather have something usable than something that brags on with fast speeds? Telenor and YouTube are an example. PTCL and the rest of the internet is another example.
Nayatel offers speed boosts (or you pay extra for 10Mbps regular speeds). PTCL also offers faster speeds for corporations (assuming no bandwidth issues prevail). Speeds are here - you should be willing to pay for them, and ISPs should be able to offer you those speeds.
No point in having 100Mbps speeds (which isn't even available to every household there, cause you get lower speeds in the UK and US - starting from 18Mbps home DSL) when you can't use VOIP (which actually works on Mobolink EDGE!).
So - yes - I'd rather have a service which doesn't block my internet access left, right and center.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
