Zong 4g piece of garbage don't buy Zong 4g . This is insane at peak times you will not able to get even 6 to 7 mb and downloading speed is limited to 500kbs .This shitty Zong 4g only works at night time from 11pm to 10 am otherwise it is pretty much useless . Its been few hours i could not even connect to psn for download getting some error again and again . Downloading sucks and only uploading speed is one which is always nice . For gaming NAT type 3 (*_*) no way to fix this issue it is default by stupid company .

Mobilink has high priority to this feature, when you play game it switches to idle for few seconds and return back. (Depends on mobile phone too)
For example when i was playing clash royal it would take few seconds to deploy and land on arena.
If you download something in background and limit its speed, play cr and play cr my troops are deployed in an instant.
This point will explain why zong has less priority to fast dormancy.
Zong(no activity)fast dormancy kicked in.
Mobilink(no activity/less activity)fast dormancy kicked in.
I hope this will clear everyone's mind for why zong has more data consumption issues.

all those posting Zong speed test results are posting fake #$@%@# Speedtest connects to Zongs own server in Pakistan which will obviously show higher results Change the server from Zong to any other, phir asal oqak zong ke speed ka pata chalta hai

While I have no issues with Zong's data counter (it's in line with my phone's data counter), and while I also agree with your explanation of fast dormancy, i don't agree with the fact that the way a carrier applies it alters your data consumption.

Fast dormancy does affect battery life and transmission speeds, but it won't magically reduce or increase your MB consumption.

For those using the game, why not try disabling background data? I've never played it (and don't intend to) so you may have to check the options. Also, enabling notifications also leads to an increase in data consumption as well.

I got in touch with Zong again today, to tell them that their speeds in Bahria Town phases 1-4 are very very low. They don't exactly have a coverage problem there, but I believe their 4G sites are heavily loaded in general.

Why? Because upload speeds are fast. Also, 3G is pretty much unaffected (as in, 4g is slower than 3g).

They said my earlier complaint hasn't been closed, but that there appears to be a delay in their complaint resolution process, and the CSR also said "I understand you're facing issues and I apologize for that. There are other customers facing issues as well, and so am I, and the department is trying to resolve it". I was surprised the CSR said they're having issues (presumably in Bahria too) so... That must mean they're up to something.

So if you're in Bahria, try dropping down to 3G until they get their act together. Or move to Gulrez where they still have super fast speeds heh.

Full signal doesn't mean a lot... In your phone settings, go to the status area, and somewhere there, you should be able to see the signal strength in dBm.

Also, interference is another reason why you could be facing slow speeds.

But - it could also mean the tower is overloaded... But we can't assume this from the start.

Try reverting to 3G and see if it improves.

It doesn't alters data consumption.
Background data is all that consume our data.while using mifi device you just have restricted background data on your phone but you dont know what other users on their phones are syncing in background..

I made a very big mistake of not checking the 4g at day time so 2 days back i brought the device paid 24k 50Gb package (1 Year) with free device . Now i'm feeling very angry due to the stupid speed in morning . I recommend not buy this device zong 4g is unreliable and pathetic . For gaming NAT Type 3 and also ping is very bad . Evo charji is way better than Zong 4g it has better ping and stable speed yet speed is around 7 to 10 mb but it is better then stupid Zong 4g .

+1, for gaming PTCL's charji is better if you get signals that is.

But CharJi monthly packages are expansive. They are giving 40 GB in 2000 Rs. while Zong is giving 50 GB in same price. Furthermore there is a new Zong promotion going on where if you buy their device you will get 10 GB extra till end of the year. So basically you will be getting 60 GB in 2000 Rs. whereas price of CharJi 60 GB package is 2500 Rs.
