Watched it yesterday at CMAX..that's exactly what i was thinking. i think the director held back cavil way to much his action scenes were hard hitting..Henry Cavil clearly dominating when both Tom Cruise and Cavil were on screen at the same time..some tricks here and there and all about story even all dialogues pointing toward story..

Mission Impossible movies always do something which other movies cant like running down Burj Al-khlaifa, hanging on the plane and this time helicopter fight..looks cheesy but very entertaining..8.5/10..

Did the movie feel chopped up in some scenes to you? Like some sort of censorship.

Mission Impossible Fallout (2018)

Another strong entry in the franchise, perhaps even the strongest.

The plot is nothing new and it had some predictable parts but it worked for the movie, and I enjoyed it. I particularly liked how it connected to previous films in the franchise. And I continue to love the team dynamic these movies have even if Tom Cruise is always the main star and the focus. The secondary characters, especially since Ghost Protocol, REALLY add to these movies for me. Good to great performances across the board.

Similar to the previous entries in the franchise, the main draw of these films is the experience of how they execute the plot, how Ethan Hunt and his team solves or gets out of situations and, of course, seeing Tom Cruise do crazy stunts as Ethan Hunt. And HOLY HELL this movie succeeds in doing that with flying colors.

Mission Impossible Fallout easily sets the new standard for doing this type of action in a big budget Hollywood blockbuster. It was utterly amazing to experience the audiovisual mastery at display in this movie. Each action sequence was beautifully crafted. The cinematography, the editing, the sound design, the STUNTS... AMAZING! Whether it's a bike/car chase, a foot chase, a plane or helicopter jump, a fist fight etc, there was this raw sense of realism that just elevated the tension and thrills, and of course, seeing the main star do all those things by himself, that's just something else. I was smiling and happy and in awe.

At 2 hours and 20 mins long, the movie had a great pace, for the most part. Honestly, I didn't even realize that 2 hours had passed, during the final act. The soundtrack definitely helped to elevate the pace of the movie. It had a Dark Knight/Dark Knight Rises vibe to it, that Nolan feel of build up, and I loved that.

As for the flaws, the pacing of the movie did falter a bit by the last act. Just a tad bit. And the story being predictable at points. That's pretty much it. Oh and, while this is not a flaw or a nitpick, but since I loved the action so much, I wanted more and more, especially that BATHROOM FIGHT!

All in all, I LOVED IT. As a fan of the franchise, as someone who has loved all of the entries, apart from Part 2 which I only like, I couldn't be happier coming out of the cinema after watching it. Massive respect to the team, the director, the actors, and of course, the man himself, TOM CRUISE for pulling this off.

Ethan Hunt IS Tom Cruise.

Deadpool 2 (2018)

Deadpool 2 is like a typical sequel. It's bigger, there is a lot more stuff in it, and it's not as good as the first part. But it's still entertaining.

Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, again, gave a great performance. Josh Brolin, after being an awesome Thanos, becomes the bad guy Cable in this movie and does another fine job (Year of the Brolin), although I wish there was more of him in the movie. Some returning characters from Part 1 had fun arcs as well, and new characters like Domino made for some awesome sequences. The action scenes were exciting and thrilling, well shot with good enough CGI relative to the budget for the most part.

The movie gave us more of the X-Men universe, some of which I enjoyed a lot. Some of the jokes were so random or unexpected, I couldn't stop smiling at the ridiculousness on display like The X-Force scene. Tons of 4th wall breaking, as expected, and there were some GREAT ones. That mid-credit sequence... HILARIOUS.

As for the flaws: There were some story decisions that I did not like. There was a lot more in the plot this time and not all of it meshed properly and it was predictable in some areas as well, which resulted in some inconsistent pacing too. Character development was meh for most. And the Deadpool style jokes didn't always land (more so than the first part) resulting in cringe instead. The CGI was also not good at times, especially when the movie was pushing for scenes that the budget simply couldn't handle.

Overall, it was still an entertaining ride. I had fun. If you like Ryan Reynolds Deadpool and enjoyed the first movie, pretty sure you'll enjoy this one too. If you're not a fan of Deadpool, this most likely won't make you one.

If I were to rate it, I'd gave it 7.5-7.8/10. (Gave Deadpool 1 9/10 originally, which I brought down to 8/10 after rewatch)

P.S I watched the theatrical version. Didn't know about the Super Duper Cut till after I watched it. Whenever I rewatch it, I'll give that cut a try.

the megalodon shark was pretty big though th advertisement being so large and big it failed to deliver that on the big screen IMO it felt NORMAL like not godzilla big as they were marketing or so but ok

Not just the purple man, mind you. He is THE doctor from Doctor Who.

Sorry for spamming, I'm a big fan of David Tennant. Only decided to watch the movie because he was part of this limited release.

Guys, if you plan on watching horror (something along the lines of, say, Veronica (a Spanish Netflix movie)), give Hereditary a look.

Spoiler: show
It's a pretty twisted tale that starts as a sob story and picks up towards the middle of the film before ending with a prophecy being fulfilled.

Hereditary: First half was way too slow for me. Fall asleep while watching..woke up after 20 minutes or so and it was still moving slow..last 45 minutes of this movie were the best 6/10.

Upgrade: Now that was different. Very intriguing, thrilling and brutal. I was not expecting it to be that good 8/10.
