and heres the HYPED 10 score i was talking about....

normally this fq ups the reviews... but they hyped it too much

games like horizon uncharted etc geting 9 at most and

heres a sick framedip shit getting 10.

Paid Reviews to sell the SWITCH
Wouldnt say that its paid. But yes, a games performance does have an impact on the overall score which i didnt see with any Zelda review that i came across.

Finished!!!!

Gave the game around 40-45 hours and what a blast it was. Even with my complaints regarding performance issues on the WII U, this is by far the best Zelda game I have ever played. Nintendo's take on the open world sets a pretty high bar for modern AAA sand box games. From Deserts to forests to snowy mountains to lava mines the open world is filled with tons of interesting stuff to explore. The way BOTW encourages exploration is by incentivizing the player with Shrines, korok seeds, random boss encounters etc. All these are not just fillers, the shrines are extremely well built with some focusing combat and the rest on puzzle solving. Puzzle solving itself is not particularly hair pulling difficult but is so well balanced that you actually admire yourself once you have solved it. As for combat, I freakin loved it. Some people might complain about the not-so-durable nature of the weapons but i really liked the idea. Not only does it encourage you to try out new weapons but also gives a survival aspect to game. I know almost everyone must have read that the game does not hold your hand but none of that actually comes close to how good it actually feels once you play it yourself. That sense of freedom is something that i dont think I have ever felt while playing a game - I dont why but it somehow reminds me of Beyond Good and Evil in this respect.

As for the shortcomings, again, the performance issue on the WII U was uber frustrating but i think alot of Switch users would want to ignore that especially since the last patch has ironed out alot of these issues. Apart from that my only gripe is that the main quest line itself felt somewhat short. I know I have spent alot of time with the game but the major chunk of that was spent on exploring Shrines, Towers etc. I feel there is still tons of exploration left for me, if only somehow that could have been accommodated in the main quest line !!! As for the secondary quests some of them are pretty interesting but the rest are pretty much lame fetch quests.

And I just started :p

Just went through 4 shines and got the paraglider from the mysterious old man.

Considering this is a huge open world game, I'm blown away by its in-depth physics and level of interactivity! The ability to grab, move, and rotate objects to solve puzzles and kill enemies, being able to burn down foliage, and the freedom to climb any wall/hill you can find in the game. And this is just the tip off the iceberg!

The movement and combat feel brilliant, and the targeting system is spot-on. It really feels like I'm playing a true successor to Ocarina of Time! :D

More of my 1080p screenshots from CEMU.. plyed the game few hrs i have to say tht its an awesome game and everyone must play it... although comparing it with the horizon dawn.. i would say that combat is better in horizon dawn. Nintendo in itself did a great job with this game.

in my view it should hve been 8/10 but i have yet to play alot more to give a score.

I haven't been able to play Ocarina of Time as yet but from the 4 Zelda games (WW, TP, SS and BOTW) that i have played, this is by far THE best game. Just started WW HD, 6 hours into and similar to what happened with the GC version it just feels like a chore. Probably the only thing that makes me want to play more is the art style. I honestly dont know if the game hasnt aged well or is just me but sometimes some of the Zelda games do feel over-rated imo.

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
