I dunno if this has been shared or not but my glitch video and me finding that arrow nails my theory that it was a playable section and that they forgot to remove it during their ‘polish’.
I agree with Edge's comments and score for this game, including the comments about the story. Unlike the first game, the story here is intentionally divisive for many reasons, which increases the likelihood of, and even necessitates, many people finding it flawed. It's a you like it or don't like it kind of thing. Many like it but it's a given that others will take issue with it (I'm on both sides in some ways). It's simply not written for everyone and that's fine imo.

Damn, sounds interesting but understandable why they cut it, the game is already mammoth as it is and one of the rare complaints is that it could use some editing in some parts.
I'd imagine the segment they cut would have been an homage to the start of Winter in TLoU 1 where Ellie hunts the deer.

If there's an award for 'best moment or sequence' at the end of the year, the Rat King boss will get my nomination. Completely unlike anything ND has done and holy shit, the setup was terrifying.
...were both excellent fights, each for their own reasons. Would be tough for me to pick one. But let's face it, neither of them can compete with the masterful encounter design of Cyberpunk 2077's Sasquach boss fight. Looks like it'll take the crown.
Maybe you should take your own advice and not read too much into this. Edge, afterall, has always put Naughty Dog (and their eNc0nt3r DeS1gnS) in their place.

That still doesn’t change the fact that no Naughty Dog game has ever won and you continue to value Edge’s opinion for this game and not the others when it suits your agenda.
I have heard that it is now unplayable in countries which do not support handful of third world countries not recognized by Sony like Pakistan. Steam is a true global platform. Then they cry that console gaming is dying.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
