Who doesn't love HBO? They have given us TV shows like The Wire, The Sopranos and Game of Thrones.
Let's see which of their shows, past and present, is the best one.

The Wire was perfect, but not my all time favorite. Have to watch Six Feet Under so can't comment on it. Sopranos was awesometastic, but started slow. Well at least for me.

That leaves Game of Thrones. Loved from the start! Gets my vote for now. Oh and HBO FTW!

oye shahbakht yaara... man time and time again you make bad bad lists... bad bad lists.... you include the shitty boardwalk empire and game of thrones?? turd like bored to death and entourage?? and you have the nerve to miss deadwood and oz?? what planet are you from?? or you don't know much then... you could have just copy pasted a list from wikipedia if you haven't seen the best of the shows.... deadwood is as good as the wire if not better... and oz is the definition of HBO... once again a disappointing list... do some research rather putting up a list of stuff that you have only seen.... true blood and hung......we already know that THE WIRE is the best show ever made.... and that means it is the best hbo show... what you don't know is about deadwood and oz... the list should be ...

nah... i am not saying game of thrones is shit... i meant that it is only in the first season and in the news it says that the most fav. actor just got killed so there is not much hope for it now... and i have seen the first 3 episodes.... so far not impressed.... but i have heard that it gets really good after.... anyways.... it will take atleast 3 seasons to get into the best of the best.... one incomplete season does not make anything amazing...

i know what you mean... it is hard to watch slow stuff... slow movies or slow series.... but if you can sit through a few episodes then trust me when i say that "slow stuff is the best stuff"..... i never watched slow stuff.... but if somehow i watched a slow movie which had been sitting around for an eternity in my hd or dvd pack... i would curse myself for not watching them before.... action is a good way to go... but quality is acting, directing and dialogue....they are so essential that you don't even care about the story that much.... the amazing character development is to die for.... series like dexter are the worst which people love cuz after 5 damn seasons there is hardly any character development of the main characters... which could have been done in half a season... slow stuff takes you into reality where you feel for the characters as you put yourself in their shoes and see the world from their eyes... it is just an amazing experience.... watch these series

i can name a few more but these are a start.... in deadwood you will have the most amazing performances ever... the way a villain speaks... the way he terrorizes everyone with his cunning plans... the mega awesome dialogue delivery.... deadwood has one of the greatest villains ever made...
