Suggestion for Laptop with different Specs

hi brothers..

need a backup laptop basically to use it for using trading terminal + for use when travelling


What would you suggest from the following (also suggest screen size plz, especially for trading terminal) :

- Core i7 with normal hdd (3/4 gen)
- Core i7 with SSD (1st gen)
- Core i5 with SSD (3/4 gen)

im not familiar with trading ... how you monitor its progress
if u can use any internet explorer then i will suggest get any cheap laptop ... install chrome OS on it and use that for ur traveling ...
chrome OS will breath a new life to ur old hardware ...
if ur applications dont work on chrome OS then u will need a windows laptop ... and for that if u need wirefree life then an ultrabook with 8-10 hrs battery life will suit u best ...
can u share which applications/software u will use for monitoring trading activities

whats the budget?
are you referring to a POS as a trading terminal?
suggest looking at the Microsoft Surface

it uses a stand-alone application which is built in java but i think is not so heavy in terms of being resource hungry, plz see scree-shot below..the application is jp2launcher.exe


btw, am looking to buy a used laptop...

budget - as minimum as i can spend as its just going to be a backup laptop. visited techno yesterday and found old laptops are available from 15k+ (1st generation)
terminal - am not sure what exactly its called, i just downloaded a launcher file from the brokerage house website (which needs java to run).

    did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!
