As someone who didn't play Third strike, can someone explain Alex and Urien to me? People seem so hyped for these characters.
Urien caters to that niche of "tall, muscular almost naked dudes" that some people need in their fighting games. He's also one of the best charge characters, his Aegis Reflector setups were nuts.

Return of favorite characters maybe...?
What I don't get is the hate for Evil Ryu... Been playing him for a few weeks now and he seems such a cool character...
It's just the hate for shotos, I've never understood the hate.

Nobody hates Evil Ryu.. where did you get that?.
In the GAF CG intro thread people were wrinkling their noses at the indication of Evil Ryu (when Ryu gets all bubbly and has a weird distortion effect)...

Oh yeah I remember a video of Tokido using Urien... That was insane...

Ahh, so Alex and Urien are both charge characters? Wow. I gotta say, getting that season pass is getting more and more appealing. Just gonna wait to see how good the premium costumes are before jumping in :D

I think people are just tired of seeing practically everybody use either Rolento, Elena or Evil Ryu and want different and "fresher" characters for SFV.

I'm confused... Do we have to buy Alex when he drops in order to play against him in online matches...

Also who is planning on hosting the SFV endless lobby on release date...?

We don't know for sure what level of access we have in regards to not owning the characters. My guess would be that we can't pick that character online or in single player if we don't own them but can probably play against them if online opponents do own the character. I just hope they'll allow picking them in Training mode.

if u buy him, u can access him.. You'll have to download the update regardless .. However, CAPCOM says the first character will be quite easy to get from Fight Money so dont worry.... Regarding Lobbies, I will defo host them but I suggest someone with a better connection like NAYATEL should always be the host.

Be sure to always host a private lobby and party chat and avoid voice chat in lobbies, it causes delay.

Here's a picture that gives the timeline of the stuff we'll be getting post-release.

Also, it appears the day-night cycle rumour is legit. The above is Kanzuki Estate during the day-time and Capcom recently released a picture of the Waterfall stage at night. So even the stages that are there will have more variety, yay :D

I realize I'm double posting but this is worth it.

Online Battle lobbies will support two players at launch. But eight person lobbies as well as Spectator mode will be patched into the game as part of the March 2016 update.

I guess we'll just have to rely on the find match button till the lobbies are set up. Honestly, if Capcom weren't doing the CPT this year, then they would most definitely have delayed the game till July or something.

I have faith in capcom's matchmaking algorithm...
It gave me three whole matches during the last beta, none of them were from my region...

Wait a minute, we have to unlock story mode costumes and then purchase them... that's stupid...

Yeah, that last beta also gave me very few matches as compared to Beta 3. I think the rank-based matching they implemented there also was a large reason for the lower number of players.

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

  • L LegacyGamerGuy:
As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
