Stormfiber bridge mode (help needed)

Can someone please help with stormfibers hg8247h bridge mode steps? I'm getting my connection this week and all my friends have been complaining about this modem router. I would like to put it in bridge mode and let my tp link archer handle everything. Thank you

Easy.

Go to 192.168.100.1. Login using username 'telecomadmin' and password 'admintelecom' (without quotes).

Go to WAN -> select profile (INTERNET_something)
Change mode from ROUTE WAN to BRIDGE WAN.

Turn off WLAN and you gucci.

Bro i got my connection today but as i did not have PPPoe username and password, i had to contact them through email. This is what they replied


This is to update you that you may configure the L3 (PPPoE) mode on your L3 device after the go-ahead received from our NOC team. We only need to shift our ONT to bridge mode and share the PPPoE credentials with you. Kindly verify the PPPoE credentials 1st by dialing it over your laptop and then configure your L3 device accordingly.

Please be informed that we are offering triple play services including Voice and CATV configuration on the ONT, therefore after bridging, we will not be able to access the ONT for any remote configuration or troubleshooting in future.

Kindly acknowledge and let us know once your setup is ready.

Just call their helpline and tell them to bridge your modem.

Why to bridge.. simply turn off the wlan on ont and connect it with archer through ethernet port

That will give you double NAT also bridge makes your router more viable (more options).

if this seems too complicated to you why not just use your tplink as an access point. That way you will get the good wifi coverage of tplink but all the configuration will remain on your ONT to help stormfiber for any remote configuration in future. Wont be getting double NAT as well if you use the access point mode ( routing capabilities disabled )

Can you tell me what happed to your modem bridge mode ? I am also intrested in or full admin login for my router huawei EG8247H5

I have HG8546M and cannot access with username 'telecomadmin' and password 'admintelecom', though i have read some where that you can reset this ont and enable full access. has any one tried that.
