Playstation Starting An Online Store For PS3 Games

Well, I got really fed up of the console market in Pakistan and decided to do something about it. I'm going to be launching an online store in Pakistan with possiblly a physical store branch as well. My main idea is to bring all games to Pakistan and not just the ones that i think will sell. The retailers here are uninformed they have no idea about game versions and regions, neither do they know about genres. Other than that even though all games are released for a standard price of 60$ in US and likewise in other countries, that doesnt stop them from bleeding us dry. I remember fifa was selling for around 8000 and all major titles have a default price of 2000+ market price.

The business class will never invest in this as according to most of them there isnt exorbitant profits to be made and well they think video games are childrens toys and not worth their time. I have been handling various businesses for awhile and i've had this idea for some time. Now i take the step to launch it here.

Most people don't have access to credit cards and can't buy from international stores. Not to mention the shipping rates involved. I ship fedex from playasia and a game costs me 100$, pak post lost my games twice.

I've started a thread in the marketplace for anyone interested. Furthermore i welcome all to partake in active discussion and provide feedback. My idea is of a store for gamers by gamers. Where when you walk in you find informed salesmen, with release dates, reviews, pre-orders, game renting and fixed reasonable prices.

I like the spirit man. I would also suggest that you also focus on the accessories availability for the different consoles as well. For instance, its really hard to find the PS blue tooth headphone. Normally, its only available with Socom which isnt a good deal itself. Also you can't find the official web cams, arcade sticks or any other accessories for the consoles or the hand helds anywhere which is where your shop can excel the most.

No doubt this is a awesome idea and I had this idea in my mind since the start but due to shortage of time, man power and obviously investment I was unable to progress with it. Anyway if you do this in a right way then I don't think there will be any problem for you. As far as I know 90% of local gamers are unhappy with our local dukaan walas who don't know a shit and sell games at freakin high price + there are people here who like to buy original game as well.

If you also start the renting service then it will be a hit as well.

the problem is that currently with work and university i am a little pressed for time, investment isn't a huge issue in this regard. the biggest problem that i see is that there is already a very small market and most consumers are also uninterested.

Actually there is a sheer amount of market available, who don't like to do shopping from a good shop selling something at very precise rates and providing easy payment options along with the fast avaibility of the items? if people can buy from the sites like beliscity.com *cough* @ high-price.shitty-items.pk then obviously there's a good nich exist for the educated and honet business owner!
