Standard Chartered Bank Charges ?

Anyone having SCB Current account here
what are there Bank charges they have for current account ?
yearly and any monthly ?

They do not have regular amount, they just have a regular pattern of monthly FED Charges on deposited amount and Current account charges monthly with SMS charges monthly they do not charge annually once you pay for debit card when it is generated untill its expired, the pattern of amount is like 54/45 and FED charges on amount 6/7/8.

Thanks i heard they have some yearly charges as well and some ATM charges as well

there is an annual charge.. they cut me like 800rs or 900rs + FED totaling to 1000 1100rs

Monthly 58 rs sms alert charges and yearly 900+ for atm renewal.

if u mantain a balance of pkr 100,000 and above than no 58rs per month charges would be deducted but yes the annual charges would be there about 1000rs or so

ok so if i keep the 100,000 there won't be monthly charges, doesn't matter if the amount stays the same whole year ?

yes ... but annual charges might deduct 1000 or so so keep it above 1 lac to be safe

u can get ubl mukammal account, name is something like that, free atm card, no annual charges, free cheque book, no min balance limit etc

or just get a ubl wiz card if u want to shop online

i had a SCB easy saver as there's no min balance requirment on that but annual atm charges jumped each year n now they r some what 1300 or 1400, so stopped using it

i dont have ubl account
i just have its ubl wiz card, you can easily make international payments, conversion charges are 3.5%

Its good enough I have tried it many times UBL to UBL is instant. last year did transfer from al habib to UBL took 3 days. dont know if it has been improved and can be good with other banks now or not


Like to add you can also get Alfalah asaan account no minimum balance or annual charges, some 300 for debit card. biggest benefit is u get IBAN international bank account number so Im guessing it would be easy to transfer internationally (havent tried intl transfer personally)
