ssd installation in my desktop pc

well brothers i bought transcend 370 series 256gb ssd today for my desktop.
now the thing is i am a bit noob about its installation so i need your help in this regard.
SSD instalation and how to configure it, smart , trim and the ACHI thing
thnx in advance waiting for your expert opinion and guidance in this regard.

If your using ACHI then 90% of it is pretty O K.
No need to go through advanced stuff for it.

its in your bios, boot options.


EDIT: From your specs in profile, I think its already set.
However, if its not, be advised that you might have to REINSTALL your WINDOWS after CHANGING.

TRIM is automatically turned on. I would recommended reinstalling windows on the SSD.

Nope.
Once you plug in, Just go to Disk Management and assign a drive for it. <3

If you want to install windows on it, Do it through the normal method and
once your done

Disable Defrag
System restore
Windows prefetch and superfetch services.

Backup should be done manually instead of the auto one.

Keeping your R/W rate to a minimum in an SSD ensures a longer life.

Go to start button -> Search -> Type "Windows Services" | Or "services.msc

Find those two, stop them and disable
