Sony PlayStation 5 : Play Has No Limits

PS5 Release Date, PS5 Games, PS5 Power vs Xbox One X, PS5 Price Speculation - All the PS5 Info lets discuss

Here are all the rumors and speculation surrounding the PS5, including a potential PS5 release date, power, and launch games of Sony's inevitable PS5. Is the PS5 releasing in 2019?

What we Want From the PS5 Speculation aside, what would we ideally want from the PS5? Backwards compatibility for PS4 games would be brilliant, simply because you'd be able to carry over classics like the Shadow of the Colossus remake to the next console generation. We've seen how well Microsoft is handling backwards compatibility with its Xbox One consoles (including getting amazing results updating Xbox 360 games to run in 4K on Xbox One X), and something similar on PS5 would be great.

In terms of pure power, the PlayStation 5 has to significantly exceed the power of the Xbox One X. This means featuring more games running in 4K at 60FPS. If the PS5 can deliver about 10 TF of power we'd be happy, as this would allow devs to create games that look a generation ahead of what we've got now.

But what would the dream launch lineup be for the PS5? Death Stranding and The Last of Us: Part 2 are hugely anticipated blockbuster games, with the former especially looking to push the performance of whatever system it's on to the very limit. We've also mentioned Ghost of Tsushima and a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, and the latter would be the perfect way to kick off a new console cycle from Sony.

"Good guy Poland" fanboy is concerned about poor female representation in A Rift Apart, which didn't even make it into the game

That said, Insomniac absolutely needs to improve its work culture. Harassment of any kind is unacceptable.

We are also happy with our efforts to provide our IP to PCs, although it is still in its infancy, and we look forward to working with Nixxes to help with that

Steam Deck first party 🤜

There was a reason why this one little consumer was among the first few people invited by Sony to get a PS5. But sure, let me feel important 🤣

Sony's well aware of the consumers who spend big on their platform. They've already lost me, but upsetting such consumers is not in their best interest. It also strengthens the case for Steam Deck (for those not interested in a PC), a console that'll be able to run PS and Xbox games w/ no subscription required to play online.

Broken because there should've been a way for them to track the people who'd already bought a PS5 previously through their offer, not because the offer was sent to the wrong people 🤣

A what now? :ROFLMAO:
Call it a PC or a console, but it is a plug and play device if you stick to its default OS. Semantics rep 🤜

The Steam Deck ensures that a majority of games will be supported by the OS. This wasn't the case previously.

No, Proton does. Not the Steam Deck. Thanks for proving my point. Its still a PC :ROFLMAO:

Looks like Valve did exactly what I was asking them to do. thetimehascome.gif 🤜

That was the Steam Machine initiative with 3rd party vendors. Steam OS has been available ever since.
But back then:

But SteamOS is based on Linux (OpenGL) and its a long way away from becoming a viable platform for developers. Hence, no marketing. thesethingstaketime.gif
🤷‍♂️

Also, Steam machines are no longer a thing lol.

Steam Deck was a catalyst in the improvement of Proton compatibility. Also, my point still stands. There's no alternative to the Steam Deck today that comes pre-installed with Proton and offers a plug and play experience similar to consoles 🤷‍♂️

Heck, you don't even need to pair a wireless controller 😄

LMAO, no it wasn't.

Doesn't make Steam Deck a console. It does make it a portable PC though 🤷‍♂️

Heck, you don't even need to pair a wireless controller 😄
But you can pair any controller you want with it. Including your Doo-al Sense. Something not possible on any other console, because its a PC :ROFLMAO:

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
