Some much needed help regarding a laptop!!!

hey all!!! my dad will be going to canada this month and i am in need of a laptop... my budget is around $800-900(canadian) ie (70-80k paki RS)... i want a laptop wich can atleat play 2009-2010 era games...(for eg COD BO, FIFA 11 etc on medium to high)

my dream laptop would be the ASUS G53JW-A1 but thats out of range... unless if someone knows where i can get it second hand or referb.... basically ive never heard of an ALIENWARE or ASUS ROG laptop in this range =( (unless one of you knows otherwise)

anyways ive settled on the HP pavilion DV6-6040 OR DV6-3280 (AMD Phenom II P960) w/ Radeon HD 6650M....

SO MY QUESTION IS!!!! IS THIS A GOOD LAPTOP? OR IS THERE ANY SIMILARLY PRICED ALTERNATIVES I SHOULD LOOK INTO

I will suggest you honestly get an Alienware m14x for $1200 Canadian dollars. All you need is $300 more. ASUS G53 was available in local market price was around 1.5lac

If Alienware is out of your budget then get Dell Inspiron 15R N5110 with Nvidia Optimus for Rs.63,500 from czone.
or you can get Dell XPS 17" from canada for just $1000

Keep in mind heat issue is common on these notebooks while gaming. Specially on Dell Inspiron series.

heat as in it messes up the laptop!?? or that it just gets really hot!? cos ive had a HP6753s AMD athalon X2 with a ATI HD3200 card for like 3 years now... i mean it heats up like a frying pan but has never caused any issues!!!

Its a good laptop and will serve you atleast 5 yrs..
