SIM activation for 3g in Lenovo T410

Salam,
I have lenovo t410 laptop, it has an option to insert sim behind the battery bank. I want to use 3g network to run internet on it but I couldnt run it, dont know how to activate i have installed gobi 2000 communication software and tried to press Fn+F5 as stated on other forums but couldn't run it.
Kindly suggest me what to do

there should be a mini-pcie slot next to the ram slot. check if you have the required WWAN card installed in the laptop

their is a sim car slot beneath the battery... wwan card is installed i think

i think is not going to cut it. check under the cover where the ram slot is. there should be another slot next to it. that is supposed to have a wwan card in it. if its empty u cant use that sim card slot under the battery

[MENTION=7180]assuc[/MENTION]! If the hardware needed to run such a network is present (A WWAN card, as suggested by a member above), the problem is most likely in software/drivers side.

Which operating system are you using? Are you sure you have the proper drivers installed?

Kindly post a picture of your "Device Manager" (Start > Run > devmgmt.msc)

Well , i'm using windows 7 ultimate 64-bit
