Dont have anything shipped. Trust me I know. If you really want the notebook, ask to see if someone u know is coming from there, so that he/she may be able to carry along the item. Duty is not the only thing to worry about when dealing with shipping expensive stuff.
Had a guy here in karachi who shipped a laptop ONLY for repair to the US. when it came back, fedex charged him for the duty and the shipping. The total set him back about 18.5k. (It was only a netbook plus used) So I think you can get the picture
Read my post again, i clearly mentioned, that company "Shipito" sends the parcel as Gift Package.
For your knowledge, no custom is to be paid for gift packages.......
Its my personal tested service, they send the package via FedEx, FedEx then delivers the package to TCS in pak, then package comes to our hand.....

Bro, their definately are chances which happens in 1/1000 persons.
For your knowledge, I have got alot of stuff imported myself, but never paid duty on anything and packages weren't even mentioned as 'Gifts'. Even electronics. . I'm quite sure you're aware of that, but I don't think so your statement quite clears the guys issue @threadmaker: just tell ur sis to get it gift wrapped and mention it as a gift while getting it shipped via any courier.
