anyways, the islamic banks IS A MAJOR step.. atleast in theory. 80% of the work has been done. musharika and modarba are halaal. but some aspects are still haraam.

we cant just expect a 100% Perfect Islamic Bank to pop up out of the blue
they r gradually going towards Halal Banking which shuld be appreciated

who knows in the future we might actually see Halal Banking happen

I meant 300% of the actual price not another 300% added to it. Yea you can say its a 200% increment, depends on how you look at it.


Hmm didnt do any chapters about currencies in depth so no idea about that :| I said I'm a student not a PHD :lol: but do explain this, how exactly are currencies interest based? They rise and fall due to changes in demand and supply and thats where people all earn the profits. Where does interest come in this? :|

The difference of interest rates is one of the key drivers of currency difference ... though not the only one. Theres the Fisher Effect hypothesis and Interest rate parity and others that interrelate to each other. Ofcourse in real worlds there are lots and lots of factors.

In the context that gesherbrum was saying that 'Investing in currency is earning interest' ... thats bollocks. Unless you take that currency and invest it in a bank to earn interest, you aint earning any 'interest' when you are buying currency for resale and very open to both losses and gains.
