I think most Pakistanis are not into gaming. And if they are into gaming they prefer face to face conversation.

In my social circle, I am a minority gamer. The gaming industry here is not as popular in the west.

Most people are into cars in Pakistan. Just look at PakWheels. The community is active with instant response even though they have disabled email notification for some reason.

The problem is that gen z does not like forums even tho many are indeed gamers, they rather be on Snapchat or whatever new wave of social media there is now

Yep. Most people just don't use forums anymore. That's the primary reason WiredPakistan Forums died (any ex-members say hi). Due to smartphones & apps, people's attention spans have diminished. It's sad but true.

The only reason PG is still active is primarily due to it's Online Marketplace... and maybe the small group of gamer community.

I think the PakGamers site is very well designed. But the forum looks like a ghost town mainly because it caters to a minority group like us.
Most Pakistanis are not into gaming.

The situation on the PakGamers reflect the situation in my social circle.

Only a few of my colleagues at office
are into hard core gaming. Most play simple mobile games. The same is the case with my generation Z cousins. This may be because most don't consider gaming consoles or gaming PCs that cost nearly 2 lakh rupees as worth it.

In comparision, western gaming forums such as IGNboards or even most of the online gaming forums of our neighbor India such as IndianVideoGamer have an active community of gamers.

I think PakGamers site should shift focus from an online community to an active marketplace for selling affordable tech gadgets like laptop, mobile phones, USB games, USB movies, mobile repair services, and even car gadgets and create a dedicated section for discussing cars and such items.
Digital marketing though Google ads, Twitter ads, and Facebook ads will bring customers to the site that will turn into an active gaming community. PakGamers YouTube gaming channel with professional quality videos by charismatic personalities can also revive this community. It may even attract international gamers to the site.

I have carried out an Seo and the ranking of the site is excellent on all major search sites and also Alexa.
The site owners need to monetize on the brand through aligning with the interests of most Pak netizens. Some smart strategic changes are required make the most of the site.

And lastly I strongly suggest changing the logo by removing the devil. There is nothing wrong or unethical with video games as it is clean pure virtual entertainment. The devil logo make this site seem like an underground evil den of druggists or perverts that further alienates most users. Just look at IGN or even our Indian neighbours forum. The logo is simple that resonates with the audiences.

I think old PG members got married and moved on with life.

Cars unlike video games remain on the mind of adults irrespective of age. So, a lot of senior members on PakWheels.

Personally, I used to browse PakWheels a lot due to the love of cars. I own both a Corrola and a Civic and the advise from members like Xulfiqar, Capsat, and others were invaluable in keeping them up to the mark.

But lately I don't like PakWheels anymore as most senior members just whine a lot about everything - car prices, car quality, economy, politics, currency and more.

PakGamers is better than PakWheels as no whiners here. Most are avid gamers.
It allows you to get a break from the stressful realities of life.

I used to be active on PG and became a Mod but I stepped down in 2015. Family and life goals became top priority. When the time came to construct my home, I sold my PC. I used a normal laptop for work for several years.

I bought an HP Omen 15 in 2021. This system revived my PC gaming drive. But 8GB RAM does not cut it any more so I have ordered a 2 x 16GB RAM kit. I am creating a PC-like setup that will allow video editing and live streaming.

But PC gaming is a costly hobby in Pakistan in current times. Some people might have shifted to mobile games.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
