At least the head server issues you an ip so you can get access even if slow. judging from the lack of activity in this thread over the last three days, it seems obvious that most people gave no access whatsoever.

Switch the lan cable u inserted into TP Link. If its in LAN than plug it into WAN. If in WAN than plug it into LAN. And start the ptcl router before the TPLink and vice virsa

If someone wants to shift from 1mpbs to 4 mbps now will it require any change in their current copper line (assuming they are on copper line) or will they change it automatically from back end????
you just need to call them on 1236 and subscribe for 4mb and they automatically change your package,no need for anything else just call subscribe and get your faster internet.

Okay, my problem has been resolved. The problem was at the exchange.

When their are power fluctuations or cut offs, the devices at the exchange switch over to backup power, but sometimes they do not do so and fshut off. That is why I was having the problem that I was having. The power and DSL lights were on and steady, but the internet light wouldn't come on indicating that the server was not assigning an IP address.

This has been resolved, probably by resetting the device at my exchange.

Frist change your TP-Link LAN address( like for e.g: 192.168.2.1), if you already did that then connect your TP-Link Router separately and turn off your DHCP by going to its LAN settings, once done save and exit. Now remove the TP-Link Router which you have just connected with your PC or Laptop for configuration and attach it with the other end of LAN Cable coming from your PTCL Router, and plugging it to your TP-Link LAN port not WAN port. Now try to surf the Internet on Wifi and you are all set.

If you face any problems feel free to ask .
