I got my ptcl fixed on friday n torrents was working perfect
The only problem m facing is high ping in online gameplays

guys torrents are working but my SNR margin and attenuation are shit right now... cant do gaming :'(...

could this also be a side effect of those cables? should I call ptcl? If I should call ptcl, what do i tell them? If I tell them that online games are lagging they will say all online games may be expereincing some technical difficulties :/...

I had problems with streaming too but it's fixed now. Even YouTube works fine now.

I am getting 175-200 kbps on torrents with public trackers on 2 Mbps Ptcl Broadband connection is it ok or not? secondly who are having 2 Mbps Ptcl Broadband connection how much speed they are getting on torrent?

My DSL light takes a really long time to become stable at times. What seems to be the problem? I have had my line checked so many times but this hasn't been resolved yet. =S

The heck i got billed for 4mb speed while im only getting 2mb speed and my routers username and password has changed its not accepting the admin username and password anyone else experiencing this sheeet...

A friend of mine works for ptcl , from what he said ...seemed like this thing could take few weeks to PROPERLY fix
Although torrents are working now ( well for most of us ) but download speeds are pretty average and at times they are okay but recheck in 30 mins or so and they have dropped down to 20-40 Kb/s max.
No real consistency especially for people with 4 Mb and higher bandwidth connection

I'm using a different internet provider for now till this problem is fixed

Well I was getting like 450ms ping from my usual which is ~200ms since last few days (even posted about it) but I just checked and its MUCH better now ,getting around 250ms

Yesterday my ds/us were both less than 10, today they are back to normal it seems at around 45/20

Yeh, it seems like they are definitely trying to throttle speed here. I can't get 4 MB speed in the day, i get either 1 MB or 2-3 MB but not the full 4 MB speed. It starts at about 9 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon and then the speed goes back to normal. I doubt if it is any problem with my line since it only started happening after this bandwidth issue.

In my case, the attentuation increases and hence i can't connect with full speed. Internet works fine otherwise.

PTCL is still heavily dependent on SEAMEWE3, I think they have connection to SEAMEWE 4, but definitely not Transworld

Here is a link to status of SEAMEWE 3 and according to this its going to take longer than 2 days for sure.
