[Resolved] Deal with Hamid Khatri

Hi. I hope you're all in the best of your health. I started this thread to report a PG seller who goes by the name of Hamid Khatri. So, I had a GTX 1070 Strix OC that I wanted to sell. I was selling it because I was falling short on my university fee. It was bought some months ago from @Moatsim. It was working perfectly fine. I was contacted by @hamidkhatri from Hyderabad. We closed a deal for 50k, over the phone call. He wanted me to give him a favor. The favor being that he will pay 25k in advance and the rest 25k after receiving and testing the gpu. I agreed because I had nothing to hide, I dealt in good faith, my component was working just fine.

So, when he received the gpu, he started making ridiculous claims. He went like "gpu ka temperature 80s mein jaa rha hai, iska paste dubara lagana parrega, uske liay gpu kholna parrega" etc etc. First of all, I would like to make it very clear that yes, my gpu would often touch high 70s mark on automatic fan speed during this scorching summer season. As you all know, you HAVE TO set a manual fan curve for the gpu in summer season, otherwise it might get hotter than usual. So I told him this, jispe isnay kaha k nai aisay fan kharab ho jatay hain. Khair, what we ultimately decided was that he is going to return the gpu. He sent me 25k in advance, out of which I had already spent 16k to pay my university fee. I sent him the remaining 9k instantly. I told him that I'm going to pay him his 16k and take the gpu. Yes, I admit that it was my fault that I spent money before the deal was properly concluded. And yes, it was my fault that it took me sometime to arrange him goddamn money. So, on Friday 25th May 2018, I told him that he will receive his money by Monday. He had told me earlier that its his final decision to return the gpu so I tried my best and arranged the money. And I did. But what this guy did was that he went behind my back, without my approval, he split open the gpu, reapplied the thermal paste (according to him) and sold it to some shopkeeper. He didnt ask me ONCE! Before doing this, he transferred 31k to my account WITHOUT telling me, WITHOUT consulting me. He went on to do this shit WITHOUT INFORMING me. He had no bloody right to do so as he had already said that its his final decision to return the gpu. So ultimately, I was FORCED to conclude the deal in 47k. This guy is very unreliable, he is a liar and he does things on his own. Jab cheez kisi ko wapis karni hoti hai to bilawajah k pangay nai laitay.

Lol what a ridiculous statement by the buyer that temps are high...temps depends on everything (room temp,summer season,airflow of your chassis,power supply blah blah)

As now a days Strix 1060-1070 are going to touch 80s easily on load/stress/bench marking...last night i sold my Strix 1060 which was officially sealed was hitting 82-83'c on a stress test,

if a GPU is officially sealed then no need to worry about as it is running on the 1st paste applied by the company and i believe that "High Temps" issues doesn't mean that GPU is faulty...

its same like the CPU and can be fixed after re-applying the paste.

This is just a misunderstanding between us two, which this guy is taking it this seriously.


Yes i sent him 47k, which i already offered him after checking it thorougly, and he agreed on this price, it was me who was unable to consider it, to either keep it or send it back. As the seller saying himself he spent money before the deal could finish, and i was reluctant to send the gpu, q k mjy dur tha k kab iska gpu bikega or kab ye paisy return karega , so i asked him to arrange money, which he was unable to do, i was in between k gpu rakhun ya wapis bhejun, because it was as "Amanat" with me and i was also worried k this guy is realy in need of money.
So about temp, yes temps were easily touching 83 which is critical temp for these gpus, and if gpu touch this temp it "Throttles" to maintain the temp.
Yes i was getting 83 temp during gameplay at 4k. And no proper gpu gives this much temp even it is 50 degrees outside.
Kher, when he was willing to close deal in 47k (because i told him new paste lagega gpu khulega islye resell value decreases, isliye paisy kum karvaye), he also said k i have a buyer who is wiling to pay 48k for this gpu , lets see agr paisy arrange hogaye to i will send u rest of money and send me gpu back so that i can sell it to other guy in 48, nhi to ap 47k me rakhlena, meny kaha ok, so he was unable to arrange money, he said he had arranged but was unable to send because of some bank timings and coming weekend, so i decided to send him money, then did what i did, changed the thermal paste considering it was my gpu. I was unable to contact him,
So after that i told him all the story what he said earlier, he said either send me 1k more or send gpu back, i was busy couldnt reciv his call, and definately i realy didnt want to be rude in this matter, but lastly he blocked me on whatsapp and created this thread here with his story.


This issue is only basing on seller's 1k rs demand, isky liye itna issue ban raha hai bus.
Baqi i have also proofs, gpu temps plus gpu kholny k bad gpu ka haal, the applied paste was hard enough i doubt it was used for mining, company applied paste this much hard usualy is seen when it was used tremondously, kher it was my assumption, that is why i didnt keep that gpu, temps became 4-6 degres better after changing paste, the thermal pad was out of place on ram chips too, i dont want to drag this issue, wrna i would have uploaded pics.
Kher ghalti ye hui k isko paisy btaye bgher bhejdiye, or in sahb ko ye tap chari ha k gpu q khola?
I sold gpu to that guy, or bata k becha k bhai paste change kia hai, or 47k ka hi becha.


His mistake is, to spend money before deal finishes.
My mistake to send him rst of money without informing him.


So i want to make this issue resolved asap.

exactly, lekin hamari awam samjhti hai k gpu ka hsf khulgaya to gpu repair hogaya, resell me panga hota hai. baat sirf ye hai.

Excuse me, but...
I'd like to disagree with you.
80s temps are easily reachable, especially on high ambience temp.... And including during controlled curved.
I've used countless GPU's over the past 3 years and also during Karachi's heatwaves and what you here claim is just.... not right.

You are at fault for not asking for permission before opening the gpu which was still an amanat that you were reluctant to keep.
No, it was not your GPU when it was only paid in half at first.
And no.. You didnt have to rush to sell it off either.

He may have done one mistake but you've made twice as many and you are also at fault.

The issue has been resolved between me and the buyer! I have been compensated by him and its water under the bridge now. Thank you [MENTION=42544]murtaza12[/MENTION] for mediating between the two of us.
