The mysterious final achievement in RE2 has been revealed, I guess it was too much to expect a scenario or something with the next game this close to release.

Wonder if the game's been updated to actually unlock this. 100% this is something found in the STARS office.

The case of the Jill DLC for RE2 gets more interesting. On Xbox One, achievements are tied to a in-game image or wallpaper. The image for the new Chasing Jill achievement shows Jill and Kendo. They are never seen together in the original RE3. So .. are we indeed getting a new scenario and not just an in-game file ?

Uh, so this is a huge surprise. Earlier today we reported on
a new achievement being added to REmake 2, which has been revealed to be a special tie-in with
REmake 3 after it was updated into the Steam version of the game. Out of curiosity, I went and looked through the Xbox One achievements to see if it had been added there as well.
Not only had it been — but it carries a
massive clue as to what this achievement could actually relate to. You see, unlike Steam or PS4 (where the achievement is represented as a small square icon), Xbox One Achievements actually use full-sized, 1920×1080 wallpaper images, which you can actually set as your dashboard background. It’s pretty cool and makes earning achievements on Xbox One a little extra special. Thanks to this, we might actually have a
HUGE revelation about what this achievement could be relating to.

Just curious, How many Resi fans would want a remake of RESI 4 ? I love RE games and I throughly enjoyed Resi 2 and cant wait for Resident Evil 3's remake. But in all honestly, for some strange reason, it just feels odd to think of a remake for Resident Evil 4.. Part of me thinks its not that old for a remake but I certainly find it out hard to believe that the remake would capture the whole charm of Resi 4 that it was back when it first came out.

RE4 is already a 3D game, they can swap textures to make it more modernized. The main reason to remake 1, 2 and 3 were because they were 240p background based games not easy to port to the next gen consoles. Now all those games have recent versions which can be easily ported anywhere. Code: Veronica also has the 360/PS3 remaster where they converted the game to MT Framework.

I, personally, think they should focus on the future games after RE3make. Making RE3make after RE2make was almost a given owing to how closely tied those games have been to each other historically.

Also, mofoing Capcom are adding things to the new RE2 demo they put up, it's the RE7 demo all over again with new dummy fingers and shit being added before the game released lol

Yeah i think you are right but I also think that the updated HD version of Resi 4 still feels aged not just visually but more importantly when it comes to the control and movement design.

I second to that. It's just that Resi 4 holds a very special place for me in the whole franchise. A part wants to relive that experience but the other part feels that it is almost impossible to replicate that game in any form ever again.

Yeah RE 4 wont be gettin' any remake treatment! That game is/has been everywhere in all its glory!

They should instead make a spiritual successor to RE 4, over the shoulder view, tank mechanics while aiming, more puzzles, intense boss fights, less ammo etc.

Twitter thread of fan translation from a big recent Famitsu article.

TL;DR

Characters like Dario and Brad who were only present for a few minutes will get expanded scope and story.
The game will be more action oriented than RE2 (just like the original RE3 was over RE2).
The game is 90% development-complete, the release date is locked and there won't be any delays.
The "FPS" scene in the trailer will be playable in the game but in normal third person. The FPS was just an artistic choice for the reveal

New details from the latest OPM:

-Sound will be very important in a city like Raccoon City, you will have to rely on it to anticipate dangers lying in wait around the corner.

-Confirmation that we will visit the streets, the shops, the Stagla petrol station, the Raccoon Press offices, the hospital. Not open world, but far more open then the original title.

-Nemesis was created in real life to be able to be scanned via photogrammetry.

-Mercenaries mode will not return, replaced by Project Resistance.

-The mutant worms are back.

-Carlos will be playable.

-There will not be the action choice mechanism as in the original, which could give different sequences of the game afterwards or an advantage over a danger.

-There will also be no more endings.
