Res 7 is less demanding compare to res 2 or rea 3. Both res 2 and res 3 using re engine updated.

VGtech gets it very right, I recommend VGtech for pixel counts.

So basically, NXGamer incorrectly compared native 4K performance on 2070 vs PS5. Consoles are still using interlacing method from last gen.

Interlacing seems to be capcom's name for their version of image reconstruction which has the same behaviour and traits as checkerboarding.

Wah yar, kia mast reconstruction hai, looks as good as native 4K and runs better than 2070 Overclocked.

Interlacing is absolutely gross. It's an old technique used to reduce GPU load first appeared in midtown madness 1 in software mode if I recall correctly. This was 1999. I have also tried this interlacing in resident evil ( I think the first person one?) It was as I expected. When you are interlacing, the image looks as if half of the pixels are black while other half are showing what is supposed to be shown.

@Necrokiller if somebody is saying they are NOT noticing the difference, be assured they either: need a trip to the ophthalmologist, or are in denial. Or you know, they could be lying.

It is using checkerboarding tho? A ps4 era reconstruction teqnice no better than interlacing. And you were comparing it with native output on PC claiming the console finally won against a 4 year old GPU lol. I have seen both checkerboarding and interlacing personally, and no aren't close to anything native. If anything that's close to native (or even better sometimes) is DLSS and DLSS only.

Seeing is believing. Trust me. Fsr 2 is good, but will take time to reach DLSS level, but still at this level it is miles better than interlacing and/or checkerboarding.

It is optional and not fixed as console. NXG is useless. His theory about Unreal Engine 5 cache memory, SSD speed was proved wrong by Alex, where he said that Matrix Unreal engine can only support upto 530 MB Read and Write, where as NGX claimed that Matrix is using 6000 MB Read.
