omg finally someone who noticed that i'm a girl! Haha!while everybody arguing to sell or get used to it etc nobody noticed the miss in the persons nick. All are calling the person as he while it could be she.
While this very well might be a troll thread ( not the first ) but let's see
but man who buiys a ps4 and dumps it aside for a 360 i mean cmaaan
Rare breed? Lol xD Quite sure there might be other ladies around here. Anyways, I bought a PS4 because the cunning, persuasive shopkeepers kept on pushing me to buy a PS4. And whenever I'd ask them about Xbox one, they'd shut me off. Also, I couldn't wait any longer to play AC Syndicate! Everyone kept spoiling it for me and before the whole game was spoilt, I had to buy a new gen console (new gen cuz everyone kept raving about how it's the 21st century and how Xbox 360/PS3 are ancient which is definitely not true -.-) and play the damn game! It was quite a good game actually. Jacob Frye kinda brings back the essence of the old AC games. You're a rare breed around here so most people just assume everyone's a dude. L O L.
Why'd you buy a PS4 in the first place, though? You could've just opted for an X1 instead. Oh well.
You could buy a second-hand X1 if you do manage to sell off your PS4 for a decent price, won't have to pay more that way (might even save some money). OR - You could just stick with the PS4 and make new friends (that seems to be your only issue). It might take a while but you'll fully adjust. PS4 > X1 anyway.
High time for a PC Then It seems.Rare breed? Lol xD Quite sure there might be other ladies around here. Hallelujah! I would say the same..High time for a PC Then It seems.
Thank you! Your response was quite understandingHallelujah! I would say the same..
With PC prices coming down daily, one can build a good machine for almost the price of the console. The only reason one would want a console is for exclusive or heavy multiplayer sessions with group of friends (with xbox play anywhere titles this is even becoming a less compelling point). Or in some cases, PC technicality is too much for you to handle and that's why you would want a console.
I own both PS4 and XB1 and I barely touched them for months. Only played exclusive on them, everything else is on the PC (which btw is also connected to by 3dtv - so couch gaming all the way!)
@Miss Kenway
I would suggest you play the PS exclusive such as Uncharted and Last of Us if you havent. PS has a good single player experience vs Multiplayer, though the MP community is huge, people still enjoy it more on the XBox.
Once you've played all the note worthy exclusives on the PS, sell the console here on PG and pick up an XB1 for the same amount. It would be difficult to explain to your parents but tell them you are exchanging the machine with a friend or something. And honestly tell them why you want to do it. Parents are usually reasonable and they would understand as long as you make sense.
I understand parents can be tough when it comes to trusting people. And when you put Pakistani folks and Online together, it's not really a great mix. Especially if your family has come from abroad. Believe me, i've been through all of this, most of the PakGamers have. That's why its such a great community, we're all some kind of reject in the society lol.
So handle it tactfully. Number 1, understand that you will NOT get the price you paid for the brand new console. This is tough for non techy parents to understand but you need to drill it in their head that technology doesnt work this way. Additionally, you can compromise yourself and tell them you will pick a second hand xbox one, hence your parents wont have to pay anything extra out of their pocket. This again will not suit well with your parents because who knows what the 1st owner did to the console. Therefore, you turn towards Pakgamer's Market place. Find an XB1 seller with good trader score and a price that fits in your budget. It would also be helpful to utilize male gamer friends who can assist in making the purchase. It makes communication with the seller easier, plus you can ask them to see the console before purchase (if the seller is also in the same city). Ask for 'checking warranty' for couple of days. This means you can play around with the console and if any issue occurs, you can reach out to the seller. Consoles in PK don't come with any official warranty, this is the best we have at our disposal.
The final piece is money transfer. Usually the seller would like to be paid first before transferring the console to you. That's how it usually works with PG. Especially if the buyer has no or low trader score. But don't worry, usually all sellers with good trader score are trustworthy - especially Premium Sellers. They won't cheat you out of your money. If by any chance you can meet the seller and pick the console yourself, that can also work. Above all, you can reach out to Mods here who would assist you further. Most of them are pretty cool guys.
One last advice. Get a PC, if you can manage it, and walk away from the hassle of the consoles. They are a dying breed, especially the current gen sadly.
And oh yes, you are not a rare breed. The female gamers I know don't usually use PG that often and would ask me to buy and sell stuff for them. It's more comfortable for them. So they do exist, just not so visible . Having said that, we do need more Pakistani women here... diversity is a good thing.
Would be better if your friends havent moved on from the 360 yet.Thank you! Your response was quite understanding
Well then, I'm selling that PS4 soon! And I do have a pc, but the damn thing keeps getting a virus even if I instal an antivirus (maybe because I've had it since 10 long years!) I guess I have to buy a new pc too, along with an Xbox 1.

OP seems like a troll, IMO, there is no such thing as a Pakistani girl gamer, never has been, probably never will be.
Oh wow, this is so offensive. You need a proof mate? You don't even know the struggles of being a girl and walking into those weird Pakistani shops to buy video games. I have to get my dad to accompany me whenever I go and buy video games because I get all the judgemental looks from the creeps who sell video games. There are numerous of girl gamers and you are just one of those creepy stereotypes who don't think twice of what they're saying. GROW THE DAMN UP! IT'S THE 21st CENTURY! GIRLS FIGHT IN THE ARMY, THEY RIDE MOTORBIKES AND THEY HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO PLAY VIDEO GAMES!4 Pages worth of replies in 2 days.

Umm, I come home from school and play video games everyday. I almost failed my maths and geography midterm exams because I didn't study and decided to play video games all day rather than study for them. I end up getting in trouble at school everyday for not doing my homework and the reason for that is I play video games and neglect my homework. My love for video games has been true ever since I was 6 years old. I'm 16 now, and I'm proud to say I love video games just as any normal gamer would. I don't differentiate myself from any other gaming fanatic. Gender doesn't make me different. In fact, I made up my decision when I was 11, that I will grow up to become a game designer. And gaming is probably the reason why I don't have any real life friends. I have more online friends than real life friends. We would love more gamer girls. But we all know the reality that most of them aren't interested in games and it seems almost impossible in Pakistan for a girl to have like 5000+ gaming hours.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.Necrokiller said:MS one upping Sony in catching the biggest L in gaming
