Introduction
Today, I will going to take a look at the Reeven OKEANOS RC-1402 CPU cooler. The flagship cooler has dual radiator build specifically designed for extreme overclocked system. The cooler comes with 1x 140mm and 1x 120mm yellow and black schemed fans with speed of 1700 and 1800 RPM respectively. These fans are equipped with Speed Switch Adaptor (SSA) to mitigate the Rotational speed and so the noise. With sturdy heating system, it dissipate the heat effectively and blows away the hot air efficiently. It is measured the cooler is about 163mm Tall (including the fans) compatible in most Mid-tower and onward cases.

While the competition in CPU cooling market has matured, Reeven arises as a tough challenger for all. Not only offering a very good cooling experience, however, with few kick backs. I've tested Noctua U14S, Thermalright and few other high end coolers, Okeanos would be my first dual tower being testing. Let’s find out what it has to deliver.

Package and the Content

The box of the Cooler with grey based color, while the icy texture on it, variant choices indeed. The top of the box is showing the content from written text to images.

Come over to front side, the Reeven logo is printed on top with slogan 'Don't think, feel it !!' while the image of a cooler with yellow fan and silver heatsink can be seen at front.Below, the main features are printed in points.

Around the sides, Specification of the cooler in written form along with images are contented in brief. the socket support labelled on top featuring Intel and AMD sockets.

The glimpse of Reeven has already seen as a first impression.

Here comes the most detailing part I:e Accessories, and everything that Reeven could offer to the consumers. Ok now these are too many accessories a heatsink cooler would carry along. I could write them in a paragraph so I am enlisting them for clear understanding.

[*]6x Fan clips
[*]4x LGA2011 screw pillars
[*]4x White spacers
[*]4x Backplate screws
[*]4x Mount nuts
[*]4x Rubber backplate screw holders
[*]2x Crossbar bolts
[*]1x Universal Mounting plate
[*]1x Universal Backplate
[*]1x 140 mm x 140 mm x 25 mm PWM fan
[*]1x 120 mm x 120 mm x 25 mm PWM fan
[*]1x Heatsink
[*]1x Packet of thermal compound
[*]1x Installation guide
[*]1x Wrench
[*]1x 120 mm speed switch adapter
[*]1x 140 mm speed switch adapter

so, It made a total of 17 items in one kit. I am sure Reeven would be considering lesser items in installation kit.

Finally, heatsink and fans. As usual, the Reeven is opted for Black and Yellow bold color scheme for fans, of course, they won't be going to change it since it's Reeven's traditional color combination. On the other hand, Heatsink is regular silver.

A Closer Look

The Two Tower from Top with Reeven engraved on top plate and dotted lines against it spreading to the each end. Well, to me, Reeven logo engraved at top enhances the look. I will praise Reeven for a good art work.

The side panel of the heatsink is flat but fill with 57 aluminium fins across the heatsink. The total of heatpipes are going upward and can be seen from this angle easily. The tower is rather tall, however it can easily be fit in most Mid-Tower cases since it is 163mm tall. The two towers are also slim and not really exceeding the standard size from usual dual towers.

The Okeanos is build for extreme performance, for which Reeven intact the total of 6 heatpipes of 8mm working around the copper base. Well, that design seems perfect for the quality cooling, especially when you wanted to have an icy cool performance with effective heat control. Additionally, the copper base is in very good shape, a polished surface, to make sure the smoother intact with chip.

Cooler Installation

We are using i5 4670K on a ASUS Maximus VI HERO having 1150 socket. WE started off with backplate mounting and the long screws for gripping.

Coming to front, the washers being placed on the mounting screws, following with Universal Bracket and then mounting nuts tighten with the 'wrench' came in the Kit. Thanks to Reeven for adding this small wrench in the installation kit, makes things easy. however, it do take the process littler longer.

After completing fixing all four sides, the Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste has placed right on the middle of the chip. It looks like I might have increased a tiny dot a bit much but i think it's just fine not way too much.

Now is the time, The towers landed and screws the heatsink at right place, crossbar is used while crossbar's bolts are used to fix the heat sink.
A Final Look

After comleting the installation process of heatsink, the good looking fans installed. 1x 120mm on left of the heatsink and 140mm fan in middle of two by using fan clips that came in accessories.

Besides, everything has been provided by Reeven, Installation indeed is a lengthy process. Reeven should reconsider it for future units. Anyways, while on camera work, I found the cooler is a stunner. A perfect looking CPU cooler from top, to be honest. however, i don't need to describe it in words, as the beauty speaks for itself and sure it did. Reeven surely have a wonderful looking heatsink in its Flagship.

PCIe & RAM Clearance

I unable to test clearance with big heatsink RAMs but it surely have enough tolerance to afford any Memory without any obstruction. I can vouch for Reeven Okeanos for this. The 120mm Cooler was slopping little down and if it install parallel to top of the heatsink plate, it would spare some more space.

Apparently, OKEANOS stand at a much better dimension than Noctua NH-U14S and Noctua D15S. The given length, it has enough room for any graphics card, doesn't matter if card got backplate. Looks sweet.

Test System & Results

Testing conditions:
  • Temperature test has been conducted under 20C ambient with 1% of margin of error.
  • Noctua NT-H1 Thermal Paste used for testing.
  • Heatsink fans speed set and maintained at 100% across all tests.
  • For stock, Prime95 - Blend test has been used.
  • For overclocking, Prime95 - Blend and AIDA64 - CPU stress have been used.
