I see a great degree of polarization in this thread. People really need to stop painting everything with the same brush and give credit where credit is due, and criticize where criticism is deserved. It's true that the armed forces have sacrificed a lot to defend the country, but you can't deny the fact that there have been a lot of absconders recently.
Look at past events too, pretty much all the major attacks on military bases (the GHQ attack, Mehran base attack, Kamra base attack) were done with help from the INSIDE i.e. military personnel were involved. Also, the Bannu and DI Khan jailbreaks were organized by TTP leader Adnan Rasheed, who was once an officer in the Pakistan Air Force.
Saying that the entire army is full of people like these in injustice, but if you turn a completely blind eye to events such as these then that's nothing short of being ignorant and stupid (like the hordes of Pakistani 'awaam'). You have to acknowledge that even the armed forces aren't 100% heroic angels and that there are indeed anti-state elements within their ranks.
