Rare's next big project is the pirate-themed Sea of Thieves, announced at Microsoft's E3 presentation today. The studio calls it "by far the most ambitious game" it has ever produced. A video showcasing naval battles and multiplayer elements is above. No launch date or window was given.

Sure, good thing this is also coming to PCs and based on the video looks like it'll on a toaster considering base XBX is the target spec.

I have gone through a couple of articles on the internet I think from Polygon and IGN praising the game (beta). Honestly, I dont know whats in the game that looks enjoyable as Janario pointed out this looks more like a F2P game.

Rare is going overboard with performance recommendations for its upcoming nautical adventure, Sea of Thieves, including a promise that the Windows PC version of the game is designed to run even on underpowered rigs. You can also take the visual fidelity as high as you’d like, as evidenced by the spec sheet for the game provided by the studio.
But getting a game that looks this good to run on weaker systems had to have taken a lot of work.
“Our rendering team set themselves the goal early on of ‘how low can we go,’ sometimes also referred to fondly as ‘getting the game running on a potato,’ which is why we want to deliver a great version of the game even for those with computers below our official minimum spec,” wrote Ted Timmins, PC design lead at Rare, on the Sea of Thieveswebsite. “The game is perfectly playable at 540p, and one of the advantages of Xbox Play Anywhere is that if you own an Xbox One AND a low-spec laptop you can still take full advantage of it, and we absolutely encourage it!”
