RAM Brand & Channels HEELP

HI,

I recently sold me RAM to have new and more RAM in my system, but I got stuck in many confusions and lack of info's

The thing is I want Total of 8 GB RAM, and my MOBO is Asus Ph8 61-mle

Now either I can get a single dimm of 8 GB

(8GB x 1)

OR

I can get 2 dimms of 4 GB
(4GB x 2 = 8 GB)

As per most guys dual channel i.e 4GB x 2 will be more effective than single Dimm, but few says that i dont have any noticeable effect

I will keep 8 GB for some time and have no plan of upgrading anything in near future


2nd thing is which brand should I buy
earlier I had
Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600 BUS DDR 3 4GBx1 (CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9) in mind but few guys suggested me to go for Kingston Hyperx 4GB 1600 BUS DDR 3 (KHX316C10F/4).

as per them both these RAMs will have equal performance on Gaming and stuff, and corsair is just expensive due to brand name, not due to better performance.


I want to have 8 GB of clean memory, which is trouble and lag free

i will be playing GTA 5, far cry 4 and BF 4 once i get my system up running

so guys, please help me out of my confusion here
