Quick question about cow hides.

Hey guys, Eid Mubarak to whoever's reading this!

I just got a quick question , why are we not allowed to keep the cow hides ? Why do political party workers come and collect them? ( This is my second baqra eid in Pakistan so idk so yeah )

@Shahzal I feel sorry for you. Last year I tanned my Sheep's skin. Of course it's upto the owner to decide whether to keep the hide for himself(like I did) or to give it away. Apparently that's not allowed where you live.

I dont think we can keep the hide Or sell it... The purpose of qurbani is to sacrfice in the name of God. U cant sell the hide cuz den u will be profiterring...I cant justify it from Quran or Hadith but ask around... I m 100% sure we cant keep it... Has to be donated ( wherever u wish) for a noble cause...

^People generally donate it because they have no idea what to do with it. There's nothing against keeping the Hide in the Quran or Hadith.

They Sell their "KHAAL" to different Countries, its really worthy trust me, they made Billions of Dollars every year..

In Pesh, its upto u whatever u do, mostly, people donate it to Mosque or give it to Shaukat Khanam, as its goona established here in Psh soon, InshaAllah.

Even if you don't want to give the hides to any political party, you still have to give them.
Today some bois from KKF came to my house to ask for hides, i refused and said i have to give it to someone else. As expected, he replied, main bhee daikhta hoon kay tum kaisay kisi aur ko daitay ho, daikay toh dikhao zara and went away. When one of the senior guys came, my father told him about what the boi said and he apologized but eventually we had to give them cos apni khaal nahi nahi utarwani thee!

we normally hide them in the car trunk and tell the MQM guys that we already gave them but this time we gave it to our chokidaar and told him to give it to anyone, we don't care any more as it always ends up with the MQM guys one way or another.Last time we and some other resedents gave it to a Green pagri wala from whom they were stolen not far away.

I don't get why they want to get the hides/skin ? I mean what are they going to do with them ? :s

LOL'd. I don't have a problem with giving it away, tho I'd rather give it to someone needy unlike these filthy people.

Actually MQM and PPP were allowed to , I read it on geo, there was a list of the forbidden parties , the ones that had been restricted.
