Ptcl or any dsl modem restarting with ups problem (solution here !)

Ok guys so like i said will post the solution tonight...when i get time..so here i am..

ok now first lemme explain to u guys why the router/modem restarts when the power goes out and the UPS kicks in...
It is not dependent on the router/modem's company but actually its Power supply (or as most of u guys call it ADAPTER)...

for example ill be using my shiro/Aztech Dsl modem adaptor for reference....

in this pic u see the stock power supply that comes with the Modem...



its rated @ input = 230-240v AC ... and output = 9.0v DC ~ 500mA

see this " input = 230-240v AC " is the problem...when the power goes out and the Ups kicks in there is a sudden bump in electricity supply where input voltage drops and causes the device to restart...and what the company supplies u with is an Adaptor with WOund coils inside and as a result it is really bulky and heavy in weight...

now the solution...This is the Replacement "power Supply" that is the solution and that u shud be having...whereas in contrast to this the adaptor is is coiling inside and this power supply is light weight and has all the wiring done on a PCB(printed circuit board) inside... and most of all the advantage of using this is...i'll let the pic do the talking



see it has the following ratings.. input = 100-240v AC (yeah thats right full range)....output = 9.0v DC ~ 750ma ...

the thing to notice is that its input voltage is 100-240V AC hence when the UPS kicks in that bump WILL NOT cause the router/modem to restart..and as a result..continuous connectivity....no "khuwari" :D

so all ya gotta do is get ur hands on these..any brand as long as its a power supply and NOT an adapter...and that the ratings both input and output are same...the output AMPERAGE can be more...that is no issue...actually even better...

BTW, the second adapter had a rating of 750 mA whereas the first one had a rating of 500 mA. You sure it won't cause any problems?

Waise, I was thinking of replacing the adapter myself too cuz Summers kicked in and voltage fluctuates so wildly, that I cannot stand it. I'll give it a try in a month or so after the exams ;) :)

secondly its called a power supply and not an adapter...if u have difficulties finding it lemme know..

thanks buddy...lemme know if u have issues finding the power supply... which i am SURE that u will...because these things are not easily available at all....if at all actually available...soo text me..

shizaday stabilizer eats up the Ups charge...a LOT !...and may even damage the ups in the long run...so ive heard..and experienced too

Stabilizer eats around 20w of power every hour, a little less than a normal sized energy saver :)
Using stabilizer is worth it. But sometimes, even stabilizer gets that sudden jerk, and the router restarts. I had a specially made stabilizer placed at the back of my house UPS, which ensures 220v supply to all fans and lights. I use the same supply with my Router too, and it restarts sometimes even then. :(

Adapter/PS is the best bet because its small and easily carried. It takes less power when idle (it takes power when idle, when nothing is inputted on the other end). So its good :) And no sudden jerks in Adapter/PS :)

well i have a wateen Outdoor device and its adapter rating is 100 - 240 V and when ups kicks in it restarts. sooo please guys help me out over here what should i do and one thing more i forgot to mention my weteen works on PoE (Power over Ethernet)

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

    Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

    Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.
