[SOLVED] ptcl disconnect only when playing league of legends

Basically what happens is that the entire Internet goes down after 30 mins in the game. Nothing works! The modem has to be restarted for it to start working again. Everyone with PTCL is having this issue with the game. It has something to do with PTA blocking ports that the game uses or something. Quite frustrating. Wish Nayatel would come to Bahria Town already...

What we could do is sign petition, request Bahria town and Nayatel for the internet.
I also live in Bahria town.

I finally uninstalled Lol. Needed a break and this issue as well. I may return for season 5, not sure though.

I have the same issue but it is with fifa 15 on ps4. On 4mb ptcl broadband here. There is no lag during the game whatsoever. All of a sudden it disconnects and i have to restart the router to make it work again.....

Me too having same issue in fifa 15 for ps4. And many of my friends also, even those who play on pc. One of my friend using qubee and facing same issue. Searched a lot but couldn't find the solution.

It seems to be a problem with PTA blacklisting IP's of riot's servers. I have Wi-tribe and they have COMPLETELY BLACKLISTED LoL.

I asked them and the following IP's are blacklisted.

• 185.40.65.1 (Riot Amsterdam EUW server)
• 162.249.72.1 (Riot Frankfurt EUNE server)
• 59.100.95.210 (Riot Brisbane OCE server)

The NA server (in california) [216.52.241.254] is still running but has horrible ping from pakistan.

Nope, they said it had something to do with VPN tunneling and PTA regulations and some stuff. The guy I was talking to could barely understand what I meant and kept asking me to restart my router. :V

Anyway I'm getting rid of this connection (and i just got rid of a PTCL connection this month) and gonna get cable net instead since it seems to be the best for playing LoL right now. But i guess I'm not getting gold this season

The IP's you mentioned aren't blocked/blacklisted.

well if they were completely blocked you would not be able to start the game but you can play for the first 30 mins. How are you checking whether ip is blocked or not? ping to euw server times out

If the IP's are blacklisted by the PTA filter then they are blocked across the board on all ISPs. Easy way to confirm it is by doing a trace route and if it times out on the PIE hops or internal hops (within PK) then the block is from Pakistan.

Restarting router/modem (to get a new IP) etc doesn't lift the automatic block from the PTA filter, the IPs have to be manually unblocked.

Well I'm on witribe, not of PTCL. I think PTCL keeps the connection up for a duration before blocking access.
On the other hand Wi-trible is blocking access to these IP's completely.

This is a traceroute to the most commonly used LoL server in pakistan (AMS-EUW) from any Wi-tribe connection (I've tried it on 3 different connections)

It doesn't work that way if the block is from PTA's filter. Anyways, message @ twitter.com/PTCLCares and inquire if the Amsterdam IP is blocked on PTCL or PTA's end. Your witribe trace is going via PTCL not Transworld.

You should tweet these results on twitter to PTCLcares. Last time I chked on twitter PTCL denied that they are blocking League or their servers. But did ask for ports etc I didn't have that info.
Secondly did you guys try to play League with VPNs like WTFfast etc? I think that would solve this issue for now? I haven't tried since im not in Pakistan till next month.

same issue on fifa 15 on ps4 like a few previous guys also mentioned. there is absolutly no lag in the match but as soon as the match 6 min half/ 12 minutes in total is about to end it gets dced and the router needs to be restarted i also have charji which does the same thing. what i dont understand is how it always happens right near the end of every match

i also want to know if anyone is using nayatell here who experiences this issue because im switching to nayatel f@#k ptcl i cant cope with this shit anymore

i finally found a fix download zenmate for google chrome its a proxy application turn it on ur laptop or pc then go ahead and play league or fifa the game wont dc near the end. ive played 10 fifa games today without a dc and still going strong let me know if it worked for you guys

Not sure if the issue has been resolved, but I have played my last 5-6 games without any DC, with games exceeding 40 mints.
