PTCL 8mbs DSL working very slow after shifting

Wait I don't get it you said that only standard channels come on DSL right so after 2 months the cable operators are making you buy a digital box & hook up the cable with it & they say its HD , its basically in the name ''Digital'' box & the cable operators don't give fiber to home they give a copper line with a fiber back bone so how are they giving HD ???? & the only cable that can do digital is HDMI on tvs/consoles/DVD players & tv boxes ( I am aware that dvi & DP ( display port) are digital too but they're only on pc) So PTCL they're only providing the hdmi one on actual fiber? So I am guessing Nayatel must be giving one with HDMI since all their cables are fiber optic

& A/V is Analog right same as VGA input right? although vga can do 1080p but the quality is not the same as of a digital cable & A/V can do sound unlike VGA , A/V = Audio video

Was gonna go for ptcl smart tv since i thought the dsl ones were also hdmi compatible. Guess have to stay with shitty cable for now till they move onto set top box.

One more thing I am facing disconnecting too it just randomly disconnect then reconnects whats the cause of this? & can you tell me how to solve it there a few guides on Google that tell you to changing your settings solve your problem I didn't try them yet but you might know or is it related to that cuts & joints cable

Check your line stats.
If downstream SNR is below 15 dB (will show as 150 on modem), then there is cause for concern. If it's above 15, you technically should be fine.

Secondly, if disconnections become more frequent, file a complaint for noisy phone line and frequent disconnections.

Tell me how how to check my SNR I know I've to go to my modem/router settings then where & how to check? & should I email them or call on their helpline to file the complainment?? or just call the lineman , PTCL they have 1week holidays

Log into modem
Click Device Info > Statistics > xDSL

And yes, call the lineman, after their holidays are over lol.

That's a pretty good line you have there.

1) Since it's a new line. Wait for it to 'settle down', I don't know why but whenever I'd move into a new house and get PTCL installed, my line stats would be fine but it would have crazy disconnections in the first 2 weeks or so.

2) Complain as soon as the holidays are over and tell them to change your 'pair'.

Alright when he gets back I'll tell him to change the small cable coming to my house with the cuts & joints then tell him to change my pair I hope doing them both get me above 7mbs on speed.net & solve my slow browsing problems do you think if I change my browsing from Google DNS to the default will it make a difference? I changed it to Google DNS when we talked on my last forum when I was still living in F/10 it made the browsing faster but over here its slow , I am getting like 780 to 800kbs on torrent (over there I was getting 870kbs up to 900kbs) I am able to watch movies online on 720p on movies123.com here but on youtube and other sites its buffering on 480p doesn't makes sense to me cause even if I am getting 6.80mbs on speed.net it shouldn't be like this cause even when I was using 4mbs in F/10 I wasn't facing any issues like these but the lineman in F/10 installed new cables from the start so I am not surprised , btw I did the settings in the youtube problem I am not facing disconnection problem well at least for now

@murtaza12 okay after doing those youtube settings my net seems to be working fine no disconnecting & no slow browsing & I am getting 6ms as my ping but I am getting like 6.95mbs as speed what do you suggest for that? cause at my previous house it was 7.90mbs should I change the port for that? & my pings in F/10 were 24ms but over here they're 6ms & my upload speed here is 0.95 mbs in previous house I think it was 0.85mb that's a pro but the bandwitch here is the con
