[SOLVED] PSU Issue or Gpu issue?

Salam All,,, kindly help me.. i bought msi radeon 7950 twin frozer from pakgamers member and a coolmax zx-600 600 watt psu,, but issue is that when i play any game for some time (5 to 10 min) then my monitor screen goes black or it gives some unusal lines while cpu remains on,, i dnt knw its issue with gpu or psu..? i repeatidly check gpu temperature it goes to maximum 75,, then screen goes black... kindly solve my issue m very disappointed today..
My PC specs are
* Amd Phenom ii x6 1035t processor (6 core)
* Asustek cg1330 motherboard
* 8gb of Ram
* MSI Radeon 7950 twin frozer 3gb
* Coolmax zx-600 600watt psu

Don't be disappointed dude.
Coolmax is an Indie brand when it comes to PSU so i expect 90% trouble from that.
and 10% from the GPU side (probability)

*For now stop using the PC on that PSU.

First of all take out your GPU and all the PSU wires and put them back again firmly on to their positions to ensure that everything is settled properly (don't use excessive force though)
you have to check your PC on some other PSU (solid brand one like Antec/Seasonic/Corsair). Take your PC to the max and check if the problem persists.

If the problem gets solved then throw that PSU in the garbage can or give it back to the person u bought from if it has warranty.
otherwise, it's the GPU....

hmmmm, & bro during gpu rendor test almost after 30 to 35 seconds gpu temp reached 73c',, and then screen goes black,, temp does not exceed than 73c' during test,, i saw another post here of a guy with similar problem,, his same gpu reached 98c'...

while according to some threads,, 73c' temp is suitable under the pressure or stress test of gpu..

yes 73c is not a temperature that can lead to autoshutdown.
this is most probably concerned with power.
do the steps prescribed above and then report.

This psu of yours is not built for gaming, it can be used to surf the net with the built-in graphics chip of the mobo but paired with a gpu like 7950 it will kill the gpu in some time even if it does not show the symptoms that you stated.

7950 is a very power hungry gpu which needs a solid 600w psu from a genuine brand like SeaSonic.

I say this again and again please dont put your whole systems at risk by using worthless psu's and never buy used psu's.

& brothers two things i did not mention are that 1: my pc is also not installing latest drivers series,, i hve installed previus version from dvd packed with gpu box
2: Sometimes when my pc is in idle mode,, when temp is 35c' to 40c',, the same problem also happens (blck screen).. so it also clears some sense that its not a issue of gpu heating etc..

Bro majorly its the PSU....
If after changing the psu u still get issues.
then understand its the GPU.
but 1st check.....with another psu....

hmmm sure,,, today i will check it with my friend pc,,, including coolermaster 600watts psu... and plz give me exact link for downloading its drivers bcoz its not installing display drivers..

today,, i take out gpu and reinsert it again and other components etc of my pc,, now temp during games reaches almost 60 to 65,, and pc screen did not turn into black,, while one thing happened,, during gameplay i physically touch my gpu,, suddenly screen turns black,, i dont know what was it,,it may be due to my hand pressure on gpu or other reaasons,,,, and during gpu render test temperature does not exceed than 74c'... now most of the things are on track except this one issue which i mentioned above (physically touch with hand)... some other valueable suggestions plz....

glad its better now.
some earthing issue here.
you need to earth the PC to the ground properly (i repeat properly and cautiously.)
and Don't put hand on the GPU when it is running.

and last but not least,
*As soon as u gather some funds, get a good PSU (brands like, Antec/Seasonic in used or Corsair/Xigmatic in new locally).
and don't throw the coolmax PSU in the garbage can, instead keep it for some other low end PC used for surfing etc (or with a low end GPU) as @FUEL2009 fortold, or gift it to a friend who has a terminal type PC and is looking for a PSU

You have a static charge in your body which gets discharged/transfered to the thing you touch, and this is quite harmful for the components of your pc.

To avoid it all you have to do is before touching anything in your pc always touch the metal/steel door handle of your room or touch the metal at the back of your pc case where you attach the wires etc.In this way the static charge will be discharged.

To avoid it all you have to do is before touching anything in your pc always touch the metal/steel door handle of your room or touch the metal at the back of your pc case where you attach the wires etc.In this way the static charge will be discharged.
