Hello fellow geeks, I'm gonna get to the point

I'm running an e5200 OCd to 3.2ghz on a p5gc-mx/1333.
1gb xms2 Ram;
2 Ide hard drives;
1 dvd/cd writer;
1 measely case fan; and
1 9800gtx+ Black Edition.

There's the Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 460w or 500w and Corsair cx400.
The corsair's a better unit as per the reviews, but would that wattage suffice?

if you afford to buy corsair then corsair is best for you it is much better then cooler master 460 and asus 500watt and it is sufficient for your setup

So i take it wattage is not gonna be an issue....neat! thanks all=]
....but... >>Slverstone Strider 500w<<

This i can have a cousin bring over from Aus..costing 5k. Fancy and all, but my question is, is it worth it?
cause clearly i don't need 500w anyways, but any gain over the Corsair CX400? =]

this is not bad Either. it has 32 Amps, and 500 watts. Plus its a Modular Psu and most important thing is that this one looks sexy :D

LoL! bulls eye Striker =D
Looks are prolly the only reason i'm lookin into the Silverstone one, otherwise i don't see much use for 500w =P
...i was just wondering if it's better then the corsair in any aspect other then more wattage.

LoL! thats convenient =P

but then again from all i've read, the corsair is highly under rated if anything at all...and ofcourse i wont get no warranty with the silverstone courtesy of international waters in between =P

I guess i know what to do now =D
My 9800 shall breathe without choking in a few days =D
Thanks all! appreciate the help!

a CX400 will be more than enough for your PC. At the price tag of Rs.4500, its superior than any other PSU either its a CM600 or a CM460/Asus450
And dont worry about its 400W Tag ... IT can do much more. :wink2:

Yeah the Strider is good (I have it) but still CX400watt is enough for you, but I would still go for the Strider sinced its modular. (dont care abt warranty lol)
