so i just got a 20 mb stormfiber connection and the download upload and pings are fine but im having a lot of trouble entering psn chat party...im getting a nat type 2 but i get a nat error with anyone that i enter the chat party with ....do you guys have a solution?

could the problem be with the router?they gave me a huawei device and ive notcied a similar problem with other huawei devices like zongs 4g mifi....while my i use my nexus 5 to form a hotspot using warid 4g lte and ive never hd an issue entering psn chat party with warid...can i use a different router with the stormfiber connection?

NAT 2 should not have any problems. You can attach a secondary router to the router that they've already provided but that will produce more NAT problems. Ask StormFiber to assign the PS4 a static LAN address and to put it on DMZ.

I don't think that they allow that. You should call and ask. Also report the PSN Party problem that you are facing.

I did contact them...the customer support representative just kept saying there's no problem at their end he had no clue about what psn is :/ or what PS chat party is....I asked for a different optical network terminal and they said they do have one other company available

Yea try that. And if you get the same problem, tell them to send someone over so that you can show them exactly what issue you are facing.

how are the pings etc on stormfiber is it stable any ping spikes packet loss? etc and how is the ping to europe you can check here Online Ping, Traceroute, DNS lookup, WHOIS, Port check, Reverse lookup, Proxy checker, Bandwidth meter, Network calculator, Network mask calculator, Country by IP, Unit converter

sorry i dont log into pg very often..yup i dont remember exactly what i did i spent an entire tinkering with the settings on my router i added ports for the ps4 and after that i was able to use psn chat with people from abroad
