Playstation PS3 has worst week of sales in Japan since launch

Yahoo is reporting that just over 25K PS3s were sold last week in Japan:

The data, from Media Create Co., put PlayStation 3 sales at 25,531 units for the week ending Jan. 14. Overall the entire market for newly launched consoles was poor, with total sales of the PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 hitting an estimated 128,274 units. That's the lowest week in sales since Nintendo Co.'s Wii launched in Japan on Dec. 2 and made the market a three-console race.

its still more then your average ps2/psp sales per week so i wouldnt call it bad, considering the whole shortage's and all

its not just japan , its bombing everywhere. in the us , lotsa ps3s on shelfs but no one to take them home.

and for some magical reason its selling 30k units weekly in japan and 700k something in december in the US..

wow.. people really aren't buying them.
