Yes you can play pirated games through Optical Drive Emulators(ODEs) such as Cobra ODE and 3K3Y ODE. However, the 3k3y ODE will cost you Rs.15k and the Cobra ODE will cost you 17k. You will also have to buy an external hard drive because the ODE cannot access your internal HDD, or you can insert a smaller internal 2.5"HDD in your PS3 and take out the 500GB one out and put that 500GB HDD, format it to NTFS using your PC and some special software, and then copy the games to the HDD and plug it in the ODE USB port as an external HDD to play games from.

Thank you.. also let me know i already have a external hdd which i took out from my old laptop its 250gb i use it with my computers.. will it work? also the main thing is what is the function of cobra ode? its mean i still need pirated blu rays? or i can download the game from internet and play it. also will it cause some problem for my ps3 psn store etc? and also do i have to open my ps3?

Thats great if you already have a 250GB HDD. And as it is a laptop hdd, which means 2.5", so yes it can work with your PS3.

The function of an ODE is to make the PS3 think that it is running the game from disl whereas in reality it is playing a game in ISO format from HDD. In other words, it emulates the funtions of the Optical Drive to the PS3 through alternate means. And yes, you need just one original disk to make the PS3 think that its running an original game but you can play downloaded games from the Hard Disk.

Yes the PS3 has to be opened to install the ODE.
