[/QUOTE][QUOTEThe Name
There is a lot of talk going on that the new iPhone would be called the iPhone 4GS. This seems to stem from the fact that the successor to the 3G was called the 3GS where the S stood for speed. So naturally one would think that the successor to the iPhone 4 would be the 4GS. While that theory seems plausible, I really don’t think it would suffice. The reason is that if they name the next iPhone as the 4GS, it would signify that it is just a minor upgrade from the iPhone 4 in terms of processor speed, just like in the iPhone 3GS, and could possibly hurt sales of the new phone. I strongly believe that the next iPhone would just be called the iPhone 5. It would keep things simpler and would be easier to keep track of the current generation of iPhone.
Release Date
Around March of this year, rumors began surfacing on the Internet that the next iPhone would release in September or possibly around Christmas. I don’t think that would be the case. Apple is really consistent with the release dates of its products(iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) which leads me to believe that the iPhone would be released around June or July. One can argue that Apple just released the white iPhone 4 and the Verizon iPhone 4 so they might hurt their sales if a new iPhone is released just 2-3 months after. Still this is a speculation I am sticking with. The next iPhone will probably be announced at the WWDC event, so we will just have to wait and see.

Well they all seem pretty logical to me, there doesn't seem like much need to be upgraded.
