As you All Know PG has Grown and is still Growing Popularity and Community, All Over Pakistan. Besides Gaming, PG has Grown Extensively in Hardware Benchmarking Activities time ago. So For PG's Enthusiastic Community, The Idea has Generated forwarded to PG officials, Approved.


So on this Precious "Eid" Day I am Hereby Announcing/Sharing a Good Solid News For You People, For the First Time PG is going to organize an Event In Hardware Zone.


On this Very Platform, Proudly Presents Official "PG's Online Benchmarking Contest/Competition"


So This is a Discussion And Views Thread for you People.
As we have enough time may be 10 - 15 Days, (Depending on Participants to be fully available) to make it well organized until it begins, You Can Share your Views and Give us your further Worthy Suggestions to Make it Better. For the Title, its not final, its only a Starter, not the Ultimate, Can Be Modified/Change According to your Valuable suggestions.

Winners Will Definitely have Prize Money.

Thread Will Gradually be Updated as the process goes on.

3. Benchmark Application for Contest

Level 1: The Benchmarks applies are:
3DMARK 13 (Firestrike) - Performance
3DMARK 11 - Performance
Ungine Valley Benchmark 1.0v (ULTRA Test)


Level 2: Benchmark Apply When Top 3 Positions Achieved Under each Class
3DMARK 13 (Firestrike) - Extreme
Unigine Valley Benchmark 1.0v (HD Test)
Heaven 4.0v Benchmark (ULTRA Test)

I am still in discussion phase, nothing is final yet but the Contest itself. the ingredients are yet to decide.

well, i was thinking to split the contest between 2 teams Red vs. Green. so there will be 2 teams compete against each other. i7 and i5 will be products permitted for this contest in Teaming. but no i3.

or

the other option is

1. 3x Classes i3 , i5 and i7. Each classes must have equal number of hardware like 1x GPU , 8GB or 12GB RAM,
2. GPU can or cannot be tiered up in classes
3. 3rdly 980Ti is Monster, outperform every singly GPU till date except Fury X (Haven't arrived here yet i think), competition will be one sided if it is included. While 290, 290x, 980, 780, 780Ti, 390, 970 are real competitive Products.

Whats your suggestion in this regard ?

Wrong it is up to the person limits.That is why their are real competition for benchmarks like 3D Mark hall of fame where they can use best stuff to win the contest like racing.

While I like the idea of this concept, sadly I won't be able to participate in it even with 2-Way or 3-Way SLI of 980 Ti that might be happening for me real soon.
However as [MENTION=15506]desprado[/MENTION] said, it should be up to limit of an individual what they can bring to the table and take home the prize money and shouldn't be left out just because they have a higher card.

Anyways, thanks for tagging me and Good Luck to everyone and I'll definitely be looking forward to see the results of enthusiasts on PG.

well i have seen ppl with gtx 980 beat the crap out of a 980 ti in 3d mark , it all depends on the user and his hardware how far it can be pushed ---you can add a graphics catagory , and you can cader those like ; -

r9-290 / 290x gpus wiz wiz gtx 970 / gtx 980
furyx wiz wiz gtx 980 g1 / gtx 980 ti
r 270x / 270 / 280x / 280 wiz wiz nvidia gpus

or make it simple and open it up for all : top 3 positions amd / top 3 positions nvidia

let every one participate , it would be more fun as every one has different set ups .

benchmarks of games like / TOMB RAIDER / SHADOW OF MORDOR / which have there built in benchmark tools / valley benchmark can also be incuded

and it should be simple : -

1080p top scorers / 1440p top scorers / 4k top top scorers

but there is a problem here - that is how would you know what setings the player did to get those scores ....in this case once can do with unigine valley EXTREME HD test .

its a Competition where you post your benchmarks results only. so called online Competition. for this time we only go for single GPU setup and 1080p Benchmarks.

Depends, I'm not running 970 in SLI anymore but rather 980 Ti alone at the moment. However, I plan to add another 980 Ti probably by the time this contest gets going.
However that doesn't change the fact that I might not be able to participate due to very busy schedule ahead of me but if time allows, I'll definitely join in but otherwise I don't wanna keep any hopes up.

Overclocking is not mendatory stuff in benchmarking. you can bench your hardware without overclocking it. if you're falling within Eligibility criteria mentioned in first post then you can participate in the Competition.
