Hi guys today i wrote a review about a game that i considered was a walking hall of shame and was a slap to the worldwide gaming community.Fortunately or unfortunately my review was not welcomed and instead of receiving an applaud of appreciation i was severely criticized and as the saying goes amongst the gamers,i was pawned by some of senior hardcore gamers.To me it seemed the end of the road.i decided not to ever review a game again but the constructive criticism by INFERNO made me reconsider my decision. Inspite of being called a noob and also being accused of copying the old review i decided that it was not the end of road for me but the beginning.The bashing by senior hardcore gaming guru's started seeming justifiable to me as gaming was not just a time pass hobby for them but a life long love and passion which had fueled even their careers.
Now i would come to the review of braid.
After the fellow gamers recommended me that i play Braid again i decided to give it a go cause i thought i might have misjudged the game.I found the folder of the game in one corner of my recycle bin and restored it.I decided to play the game with new zeal ,zest and positive state of mind so that the past negative experiences that i had with this game doesn't act as a hurdle in me understanding the game.
The experience that followed is such that it cannot be expressed in words.I found out that Braid was not a low budget, mind boggling,brain freezing, copycat production but the best adventurous puzzle game i had played in ages.Its a combination of adventure,roleplaying, strategy and action soaked in an environment of fiction and fantasy.
Braid is the game that will change your perception of 2d conventional gaming.The game revolves around a handsome,well dressed,nerdy little,hotshot fellow named Tim who has embarked on a journey to recover a princess from the confinement of an ugly miserable looking monster.To do this he has to go through a tough time which includes solving different puzzles,climbing and jumping over traps and hurdles and smashing the heads of little disgusting demon looking adversaries whose evil grin is enough to make a cool fellow flamed up with fire of hate and revenge.
These low life maggots are not the only obstacle that stands in the way of little Tim and his love,the Princess.If little Tim is unable to jump over any obstacle a field of razor sharp horns awaits him below.Fortunately falling on these blood thirsty horns doesn't means that it is the end of the road for little Tim.Here is were you the gamer will stepin and make the time reverse so that little Tim is restored back to the position where he was before the fall.
Tim's wardrobe is very unique,attractive and quite distinct from other gaming characters.His wizard looking appearence actually makes him a superstar and this is one of those characters that is hard to forget.Tim is an ace who is almost the master of all traits.When it comes to athletics Tim is nothing less than a sportsman.He can climb and jump over obstacles and railing with little effort.
Apart from awesome gameplay the game has very cool and unique soundtrack.It sounds something like a mozart symphony and will actually increase your concentration whilst solving puzzles.The background music will make you feel relaxed at times whilst at other occasions like when you are about to meet your your adversary it will make you more focused and detemined.The tune is actually very motivational.It is the music of this game that will make a direct connection and bond between you and Tim.You will experience the will and determination of little Tim that he holds in his heart and his love for the Princess.
The Graphics of the game cannot be certainly ignored.They are sort of cartoonist and painting that add some weight to the opinion of the critics that it is low budget game but it actually adds a distinct graphic interface to the game.The graphics make the game look more artistic and add a sense of romanticism to the scene.There is nothing more little Tim can ask for except a gamer with a decent I.Q level so that he can achieve his goal that is the Princess.
So for all you gamers out there who want to add adventurism and direction to your lives Braid is the game for you.There is a lot you can learn from little Tim apart from just enjoying and burning time.Handling this character in the game will actually improve your concentration and calculation skills in the real life.It will also help you in quick decision making.Little Tim who can undoubtedly be termed as the Mario of 21st century will be a source of inspiration for you in dealing with little hardships of life.It will tell you that size and appearance doesn't really matter and it is the will,determination and character of a person that really matters.If u possess a personality like that of little Tim you can sort out problems bigger than u and this will indeed make the gaming experience for you larger than life.
