Hell naw, the steelbook looks so great under the console, its a permanent resident there now. Also, this didn't come at extra cost, they're selling 2 types of launch versions for Persona 5, either steelbook cover, or a second type which comes with a skin for the PS4 controller, I preferred this.

Spoiler: show
Also I paid exactly $0.00 for this game out of my pocket, I traded in 2 older games and used my game stop trade points to cover the differential, this is just the same as downloading the iso for free for me :p

Yakuza 0 and TellTale's Batman, Horizon stays for teh grafix :p

Yakuza: Kiwami is coming out in the summer anyway, no sense in keeping 2 similarly playing Yakuza games.

Too early to comment right now. But generally people are a lot more 'asshole-ish' towards the main character. So I'm replying in kind :p

Generally all characters in the game so far seem always annoyed to talk to your main character, which gives you opportunities to reply in the same tone, which is nice. Persona 4 had everyone being way too positive. This is a different tone.

I agree; Persona 4 got a little too positive at times. I love the characters in Persona 4, no doubt, but Dancing All Night was so ridiculously cheesy, haha. Every scene had some dialogue related to friendship and the importance of bonds. Persona 4 Arena was a little better, though.

5 hours in.

God freaking dammit everything about the game is so damn stylish. Best UI and menus I've seen in any game. The post-battle experience screen is also really unique, I wish it was possible to maybe speed it up a bit or skip it outright by pressing the options key because it looks great the first few dozen times but after that you sorta wanna get on with it sooner.

On the flip side, I have the game installed on a USB SSD and the loading times are 3~5 seconds flat. Love how quick and snappy everything is. Almost "Tales of.." level fast loading times here.

Also, Ann's thief outfit.

Haven't been able to play much, but is this game incredible or what!! The last time I struggled to put the controller down and forced myself to stop playing was when I was playing The Last of Us.

The battle system is a massive improvement over P4, not only in terms of style, but also in terms of depth. The protag reminds me of Dante somehow. Probably his cocky attitude. Either way, it's great, and I really enjoy dishing out all those rude conversation responses lol.

@DarkLordMalik any comments so far ?

I'm around 9hrs in and just finished the first dungeon. Again, the game's art and unique take on user interface is making it a very refreshing take on the JRPG genre. More JRPGs will do well to have presentation like this as the biggest complaint against them is how slow and boring they get.

and man does it feel bad during the persona fusing cut-scenes lol, also agreed with @CerebralTiger , this game is naturally leaning towards giving ass-holish replies to all conversations as opposed to the cheery upbeat one's for P4.

It is SUCH A SHAME they blocked all screenshots and videos after the prologue, there's so many picture worthy things going on every minute :(

I love that the game implements what other players did in each day with a single button. It's really fascinating to see how the players divided the day today activities.

[h=1]Persona 5 moves 1.5M copies, days after worldwide release[/h]

[h=2]That’s a huge number for this once-niche RPG series[/h]

Atlus It seems like years of waiting around for Persona 5 has done some good for the highly acclaimed role-playing game. Atlus announced that the game has shipped 1.5 million copies worldwide, only a few days after its launch in North America and Europe.
It’s important to remember the distinction between shipped and sold, but this is still a milestone for the Persona franchise. Atlus didn’t say how many of these copies went to North America and Europe specifically, but Persona 5 reached 550,000 copies shipped in Japan alone back in October. The game launched there on Sept. 15.
Putting Persona 5’s worldwide shipment figure into perspective makes it more impressive. Atlus reported in December 2013 that it had shipped more than 700,000 copies of Persona 4 Golden, making it the biggest title in the Persona franchise at that time. The game first launched in Japan in early 2012, coming to North America later that year and Europe the following spring.
Persona 5 already became the series’ fastest-selling game when it sold nearly 340,000 copies within its first three days at retail in Japan. With strong reviews on both sides of the ocean and months of mounting interest, it looks like Persona 5 will continue to increase the RPG franchise’s profile.
