ok...thnx people about ur help but the real problem i was facing that if i go for 480gtx (which i think is enough for next 1/2 years....)was that of the heat issue...is the heat really a problem with 480gtx which will effect itx performance???since ill be spending 50000RS!!!

well i dnt know much about SLI ...plz give me a simple definition of it ????????and also does it have driver problems and are the games now a days compatible with SLI????and yeah also tell me itx price and heat issues??

ive made another thread becoz i actually asked about the heat issue ith gtx480.... but till thnx for ur suggestions

No need to create multiple threads for the same topic!.
Anyways;
SLi = Scalable link interface.....Basically it is the combining of two GPUs in a single PC like 2xGTX480s...It increases performance a lot!.....I know You'll get a lot of performance with the GTX480 but SLi of GTX 460 1GB is better.....It is better than a Single GTX 480 and also Cheaper!......Anyways it is enough for 3 Years!

GTX460 SLI is better than GTX480 and cheaper,
SLI needs drivers and that game support, to work, nowadays almost all games support SLI/Crossfire, but you have to wait for drivers support
i would say to get 5870 with a physx card like GT240, less heat, less power consumption, or wait for GTX460 and get it in SLI

Oh i forgot!..this is not 2005 that games are not properly optimized for Dual-GPU setups!...Apart from some every game is good at SLi!!!......I would still suggest 1GB GTX 460 SLi!!!...It is cheaper , faster , consumes less power , makes less heat than a GTX 480!
gtc??????????????????????????????
Typo error!.

guys y r u all recommending him SLI, when the guy doesnt know nething about it, u r making things complicated for him, even though the SLI GTX 460 is the better buy, but i think he cant manage it... so a single card solution is a better buy for him...
Regarding ur question about heat issues reducing performance.... this doesnt happen bhai meray... heat is different, performance is different...
yes the GTX 480 does produce alot of heat, u can make an egg on it but the performance is massive to by pass the heat issue...
i hope u get my point

o bhai jitnay mashwaray lo gay utna confuse ho jao gay...if you have money go for gtx480 koi tension nahi and heat will not lower its performance and my recommendation if you want to play games mostly and not just benching and this kind of stuff stay away from ati...simply.

if you can wait buy 2gtx460 and join them in sli or 480 tu hai he.

there is a lot of difference in ati and nvidia
i m getting my hands on gtx 470 and 5970 they will arrive on 10 august
so if u want 5970 the baap of all cards then u can wait till 10 august
but i would still say go for nvidia coz not only the bech marks that matter theres a lot difference in what human eye sees and what a gpu actually renders in terms of fps
all those games that have extensive physx will lag on ati unless u have 5870 or 5970 as they have support for physx via dx 11 directcompute
but a dedicated nvidia physx card like 8800gt and an ati 5870 or 5970 is the best option u will have the spreme power of ati stream and nvidia physx together
and yes although nvidia disabled their physx in the presence of ati but u can hack it easily
this will help

Manage what? o_O All you need to do is update drivers when new ones are released.

IMO GTX460 SLI is the "smart" choice :p Its cheaper than a GTX480 and its more powerful, what more do u want? :p
