A normal PC idles 80% of the time and uses about 55 watts. Under load that rises to 80-110w. This includes the electricity consumed by the monitor.
Normal PC = no discrete graphics card.
If you do have a graphics card then that will consume more power but most of the time it's idle as well unless you are mining or gaming 24/7. You can buy a device like
this from aliexpress to measure your power consumption so that you have hard facts.
So PCs don't consume a lot of electricity. That's a misconception that lay people have and I would not have expected it from PG members who should know better. A 600w PSU doesn't mean you are using 600w all the time. That number is simply the maximum power it can provide the PC's components.
