[SOLVED] PC won't boot after getting a new GPU (from GTX460 to R9 270)

Hi guys,
In kind of a panic here, I'll describe my situation in least amount of words:
- I had a MSI GTX460 for 3-4 years. It burned out.
- After waiting 8 months without a GPU, I finally bought a Gigabyte R9 270 OC (from Vmart) today
- Tried booting up PC, it won't turn on. The CPU and GPU fans run but nothing happens.
- As long the both the 6-pins are connected, it doesn't matter whether I connect the monitor to the GPU or to the motherboard, it will not boot as long as the card is getting power.
- If I remove the 6-pin connectors, the PC will boot with integrated graphics.
- As far as I know, power shouldn't be an issue since GTX460 consumes more power than R9 270 according to my knowledge.
- My PSU is Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 600W (Not the greatest, I know, but more than sufficient, I'd presume)


Rest of the specifications, quite a simple PC:
- Core i3-2100
- Intel DH61ww motherboard
- 4 GB DDR3
- PSU: 600W Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus


I tried removing NVIDIA stuff as well.

I think your GPU is defective.

a friend had the same issue with his 970 and was fixed by updating the motherboard bios..try that maybe?

I will be not surprised if i'll found out the fault was in GPU

DH61ww .....90 percent sure its old bios
it had this issue. wont pick newer gpus.
but management engine was changed with new bios. and procedure is different then conventional method

My mobo BIOs version is BEH6110H.86A.0020.2011.0218.1538 if that helps.

At least that's what writing "wmic bios get smbiosbiosversion" in cmd tells me.

Urgent help needed.
I've got some good news and I've got some bad news (for me)

My BIOs were v20, so I updated them to v48 first. No issues there, was flawless. Then I updated directly to v99. I got a nice looking new boot screen but it won't go further. If I restart and press F2, F7 or F10, I can reach the respective menus. And even the mouse works.

Bad news: I can't get past.

Good news. I tried inserting my GPU and it actually reached the boot screen and it was detected as I saw in the BIOs screen's PCI-e section. Meaning the card is probably fine but now I'm stuck in the BIOs Any help?

Lol asman se gira khajoor ma atka. Can't you reflash previous version bios from bios screen ?

Got it working using the jumper method! Thanks [MENTION=26661]Cerberus[/MENTION] !
The thing is v99 won't boot, so I flashed v113 using the jumper method and now it's working fine.
