Salam Guys!
I'm having a problem with my computer here. During heavy gaming my computer just shuts off. It's extremely random and very irritating. Now this happens only with 3 games currently previously it was only happening with one game. Whenever i play Witcher 3, FIFA 15 or Don Bradman Cricket 15 my pc restarts after a little while.
I don't think so it's my gpu because this problem started recently. I was playing Witcher 3 before that for 3 days without any problem.
I used to play witcher 3 for 5hrs straight without any problem, now i can't even play it for 30m.
Guy's your suggestions? It's not heating problem because my gpu remains at 80-83 C (I have a really really hot room) nor it is my cpu because it is around 65 C during heavy gaming. There is no BSOD or any other error it's like a hard reset. Can a motherboard do this or is it a failing psu?
What's more surprising is that i can play GTA 5 for hours without any crash but as soon as i start witcher 3 BAM!
I have reinstalled my drivers and OS and i have no luck.
Anyone suggestions? Should i buy a new psu? Is it something else?
One more thing, i opened the HW monitor and saw that the 12V rail was running at 8.9volt. Is this normal?
Help please?

You did not mentioned about the PSU you have currently and neither about your GPU.
It could just be a software issue if the PSU and the GPU are ok.
Try with a fresh windows reinstall and fresh drivers. Some time drivers are not uninstalled the way they should and thy might get compromised.

GTX 770 AND CORSAIR VS650 WATT.
Do mind that I have been using this psu for 2-3 years. GPU is 10 months old, what do you think? New OS install again?

It could also be a ram issue, it could be a faulty gpu memory. GTA V is fairly optimized and many not load too much in the gpu vram, witcher 3 can fill your ram and vram if you are gaming on 1080 or above with high settings. When a bad sector, either on your ram or vram is accessed, it crashes. This doesn't happen in GTA V is because it using ram in a optimized way. That is just what I think is happening it could be other things too.

Also failing psu could be an issue. Check ram sticks one by one as well.

One thing to note an average psu losses roughly 10% of its efficiency each year on normal usage, that means minimal gaming. I would change that psu immediately even if this particular problem is not related to it. You will end up frying something else.

Also did you buy the gpu used?

Electronics are bound to fail at any possible time due to any possible reason(s)
in Pakistan mainly because of Voltage fluctuation.
However generally speaking both your GPU and PSU seems to be ok also because they have been running for a long time without issues.
Go for the completely fresh OS install and see if it persists.

and just to be Hundred percent sure, backup your important data on a cloud drive etc and format your entire HDD. could also be some sort of virus or some corrupting file that may come back.
After your are done with the format > Fresh OS install (win 7 recommended) > Fresh game download and Install (with an antivirus like avast recommended).
Now play Witcher. Some torrents are not trustable. This time download it from another channel (if downloaded via torrent).

The GPU is brand new, brought it from USA last year. The RAM Is okay, I checked it by memtest. PSU could be the issue or maybe mobo, I'm going to the shop in 2 days to get my old motherboard back, I've sent it for warranty claiming and it just got back. I just don't get it, I can run FAR CRY 4, GTA 5, Mortal Kombat X without any issues but when ever I start Fifa 15 and Witcher 3 my pc restarts.
Eitherway I'm going to try my new MOBO and reinstall windows.
Corrupt Vram sounds highly unlikely and Faulty Ram would just shutoff my computer even during non gaming sessions.
I hope it's not my GPU or RAM, affording a new psu is much cheaper than a high end GPU.

i did notice an odd thing, in my task manager I saw a cpuminer thing running which was using approximately 20% of my resources. I opened the file location and deleted it. It's not running anymore but I think it's left something behind.
I also forgot to mention that one of my SATA cable ports on the motherboard was loose and was not working, I can't use my optical drive because of that and my motherboard is quite small, I think it is mini atx, one more thing my HDD is giving a kind of grinding noise, not sure what's the reason? Can a overheating psu force a pc to shutdown?

All of these symptoms are identical in nature and related to data/hard drive. Breaking of Partitions (via windows wizard), Full format, Fresh OS, and Fresh Game install (with Avast support) is now absolutely necessary.
Do this and then see.

Secondly if the grinding sound was not present before and has occured recently then this could mean that the Harddrive itself is ailing. Install HD Tune. Check the Health and perform full surface scan to know if there are any bad sectors now.

Okay, I'll check. I'll report back when I've done these things.

So i didn't reinstall windows yet, i'll do it when i install my new mobo.
So i decided to try FIFA 15 again and my pc restarted yet again with this window now. I had previously disabled it but i think i restored it back to the original setting so this is why i am getting this error.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
