P.S. budget would be at max 50K

I second the suggestion of getting a PS4 IF you believe you won't be able to scrounge up atleast another 50k in the next 6 months or so.

If that's a possibility, it's better to save up and build yourself a good gaming PC.

Get A PS4 You won't Find a New PC That Will Run All New Games For 3 Years Or More. + You Can Find Many Slightly Used Games Here On PG At Much Less Price and you can trade games too so i'll suggest you to get a ps4 and enjoy it at its fullest.

PC MASTER RACE if you have enough budget . If you buy a console, you will save money at first but the running cost of a console is high with all anticipated games being atleast $60 while also need membership to play online . If you look at PC . the initial cost is high but running cost is low ,no membership to play online. You can buy games on sales and save a fortune. You can also listen to music while playing games and record your gameplay . but best of all,you can play games at 60+ fps B|

Are you willing to pay Rs.5,000-6,000 (or more) for every game you want to play?

there are many shops and PG members wiling to exchange PS4 games for a much lower price of about 500 - 1500.
Sounds like you'll still be stuck with one (or a handful) of games until you can find someone you can exchange games with. But you'll know better if that works out for you.

As others have said, 50K can get you a more than decent PC. It doesn't take alot to get better performance than a PS4 atm. And its cheaper in the long run like shahzadfootball mentioned.

If you have a rough idea about when you'll buy a PC under a greater budget, you can check to see what upcoming PS4 exclusives you cant miss out on until then. In that case, its a no brainer, get a PS4. Otherwise get a PC now and you can build up on that later as well.

Buy consoles after 2-3 years.

There are not enough exclusives to warant a purchase.

PC plays both legit and non legit games. And games are way cheaper then consoles.

PS4 if you prefer some great exclusives, free games from PS+, and better performing multiplatform games. Its major weakness is that PSN is just not as good as Xbox Live but you will always find great discount on old games relatively quickly so if you don't have the option to go physical, you can wait and get a game for cheap digitally, which will be cheaper than retail. Also Digital games are usually cheaper for us compared to retail. A $50 PSN card can cost you 5k or even lower (if you know a good seller) and you can get a retail game for $60 or about <=6k, which is a really good deal. I am talking about a brand new game. Now imagine when these games are on sale (which happens frequently) and also get weekly sales on PSN. So if you stay mostly digital, you can get make a good backlog for cheap.

Don't listen to people telling you that PS4 games are expensive. They are not. They are only expensive if you want them day one, the price drops relatively quickly for the 2nd hand copies as time passes, and then there is always digital.

Still, if you are not convinced for getting PS4, you can go for Xbox One as well. You will get a better quality network and some decent exclusive too. Xbox One also has a PS+ equivalent but the games are usually not as good as PS+. No AAA games yet as well. But the bad thing about Xbox One is that it is weaker heardware mean games are not the best visually or performance wise. Secondly Xbox One is not that popular here in Pakistan so second hand games are hard to find here. But Xbox One also gets digital game sales on cheap. Sometimes the deals are really good like 50% to 70% off. This applies to both PSN and Xbox Live.

Lastly if you want cheap gaming (piracy) and can risk buying cheap game keys from shady resellers (russian etc) then you can go for PC gaming. PC gaming gets a lot of sale digitally, which is better than Xbox Live and PSN. But with PC gaming, the exclusives are not really blockbuster AAA games. There is no Uncharted, Gears of War, Quantum Break, Bloodborne etc on PC. So you will only be able to play AAA multiplatform games, but at a better visual quality and performance than consoles. But of course, this also depends on the hardware you buy. Also don't listen to the silly comments saying you can run at 60+ fps. I mean who the heck even plays at 60+ fps? The only ones who can manage this feat in the latest games are the one with an SLI rig. If you want to run any game at 60 fps, you will need to tinker with visuals and waste a lot of time on it. PC games can also get bad ports resulting in games that don't seem to be doing much visually but are performing worse on your hardware. PC online is not the best TBH. I'd rate it lower than PSN and Xbox Live.

So yeh, this is a lengthy reply but you can read it and decide yourself. Good luck and happy gaming.

Dont lie to prove a point. Games for new consoles are not only expensive, there is little supply of new games.
I am not lying just to prove a point, if I would be favoring PS4 why would I even bother to ask here, but as DarkLordMalik stated one can get hands on PS4 games for quite less then the cover price, given that you don't want to play them the day they are released.

DarkLordMalik it is indeed a great reply, just what I was looking for, guess I will go with PS4 for now, and get a PC when I can. :)

If this is your preference, you should definitely go with a PC. You already seem to have a 500GB hard drive and an ATX chassis. Use your current budget of 50K to get a good CPU (2nd gen i7 or a 4th gen i5, preferably overclockable), a decent mobo, a pair of RAM sticks, and a good quality 500-600W psu with high amperage on the 12V rails. Whatever money that you have left can be used to get a temporary GPU. Once you have more available budget, you can sell the GPU and get a better one.

Long story short, you don't need to get all your PC components in one go. Focus on getting a good CPU/mobo/PSU for now.

Karachi.
For console level performance, you can simply buy a 4th gen i3 processor for 12800 RS, a 5600 Rs LGA 1150 mobo, 6 GB RAM for 6000 RS and a 750Ti GPU for 17500 RS. A cheap Casing and PSU for 2000 RS combined [Total = ~44000 RS] and you have a PC that can run games at console equivalent settings for around the same price as either of the two consoles, along with free online gaming, free (aka Pirated) games ;) and cheaper digital games day one.

Keep in mind that this rig will only be able to hold water till the next 1.5 years or so at most. Upgrade the processor and graphics card when you have money because these are low end components (yet they are comparable to, or even better than, the performance consoles offer).

The reason why I am heavily against the 'next gen' consoles is that the exclusives that have come out on them till now have critically been a failure. I can't say if they will improve in the future either.

Isn't console gaming cheaper than PC gaming? Retail game discs for consoles are widely available and can be sold while PC games are mainly digital and hence, non-tradeable.

There's also no hassle of upgrading your system. If a PC game decides to utilize DX12 only, it would, effectively, render your Rs. 80,000 graphics card useless just a few years down the line. Consoles, at the very least, retain the same level of performance across the platform for a good many years.

U r all right i too have some money to spend and am looking at pcs
Reason
Ps4 games are 5 k each new
Steam sales can get u a game such as arkham nights for 500rs only with complete upgrade packages this was in december
As for ps4 u pay 45k one game 50k extra controller 6.5k ps4 membership to play games online 6k per year so a totall of 62-63k not 45k as ur initial investment
Now
I5 4460
H97 mobo
8gb ram
R9 280 or 280x
Plus hdd and psu and case
All comes out to 65-70k which will not displease u ever for 3 years at least
As in windows 10 xbox games will be able to be played on pc and eventually all games will be avaliable on pc hoping so so my lovingly advice would be to get a pc
Also i jave an xbox and psp and ps2 and every nintendo console so i am not a pc fanboy infact i dont own a gaming pc now just a laptop
