Hello i'm facing this problem for few months now my pc freezes randomly and i have to power it off to restart this is so random and is v.rare but still is there.
Sometime it happens in games and once when i was browsing, sometime it happens twice a day and sometime don't happen for week without single freeze it is so rare and i don't know the cause.

I've already updated my bios to latest 0902
Tried Prime95,Furmack,Memtest and no error
Temperature don't exceed 50c for cpu and 65c for gpu @36-45%(Automatic) fan speed
I've did complete scan for errors on hd tune in November when i bough my hd new and it was clean and did quick scan just now still clean.

i even tried to look at eventviewer but didn't understand it there was some kernal-power problem in critical zone but that was because i power off it directly(not sure).

Bro this is due to ram or hdd
if u have any friend take his hdd and ram...
1) plug out ur ram and plug in another ram and then check....
2) Plug out ur Hdd and install another hdd ....
It will clear that fault in ur ram or hdd

Recheck your sata cables. Replace it if you have any spare.
Also try a different sata port on your motherboard.
Make sure power and data cables on your HDD are connected firmly.

Sometime, a bad PSU also causes such glitches. I cannot see what PSU you are using ?

Thanks for replying, my psu is old cm 460w. i still have one question if its psu then it should freeze in prime95 and furmark too they put alot of load on processor and gpu. but nonetheless I'm thinking of changing it for quite sometime but didn't got time but will soon change it Inshallah.

Again happened at 11:05 i was playing Tropico 4, for almost 2hours. I've also noted that most of freezes occurs when i was in Tropico but they've happened in Sims 3 too but too lesser extend. EV Picture just after the freeze!

Dear there is no direct and quick fix. Many software and hardware related issues can cause this error. In software, a conflicting driver is generally considered the main culprit while in hardware, it can be either your PSU or RAMs.

If you have 2 or more rams sticks running in your system, remove them and run your system with 1 stick for few days. If problem persists, replace this stick with the other one. If problem is still there, it can be assumed that its not ram but something else.

As a 2nd step, you need to check your system with some good quality PSU.
