An astounding open world unlikely to be rivalled until well into the next gen, saddled by a throughline from the last.

Recommended is an 8 in my book. Polygon has also not called it Essential. Same goes for Gamespot, where a perfect score is deemed Essential.

Yes, the game is on 2 discs, disc 1 is "Data disc" disc 2 is "Play disc".





And yes, the game comes with a physical map, even for the standard released. It's DOUBLE SIDED !





The approx 10 minutes I was at the gamestop, I saw 8, 9 PS4 copies and only 1 Xbox copy. At least 3 of those 8, 9 PS4 were bundle owners who got the Pro bundle. Thankfully I was pretty early in the line because by the time I had left, there were somewhere around 30~ people behind me with more coming in.

Just the amount of tiny details in the first scene of the game was mindblowing. The lantern effects on Arthur, and the surrounding.. The gameplay is solid, and movement and gun-play has respectable weight to it. Arthur being a big guy, has realistically moderate movement speed.

Got mine but waiting for the huge installation.

Got the pre-order bonus code (didn't pre-order the game) and it worked in my UK PSN ID probably cuz the game is region 2. So the bonus stuff probably won't work on my main US ID but nevermind. The code is expiring today in case someone didn't use it.

The game has a very 'soft' look on the Pro, owing to not the best checker board rendering but it still looks mighty fine. Definitely not the best looking thing I've played on the Pro though.
