[h=1]Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 3 Pass isn’t working correctly on PS4[/h]

[h=2]No official word yet on when things might be fixed[/h]

Since the debut of Rainbow Six Siege back in 2015, the game’s season passes have always been the best way to unlock all the new content that Ubisoft brings to the game. One purchase unlocks all eight operators that are released for Siege each year, along with a whole host of extras, like skins for characters or guns — or at least, that’s how it’s supposed to work. But over the last two weeks, players who have purchased the Year Three Pass on PlayStation 4 haven’t gotten most of the season pass content that should have been unlocked.
The Year Three Pass grants players access to all eight of the operators that will be released throughout 2018. It also comes with eight exclusive headgear and uniforms, meteorite Charm, 600 Rainbow Six Credits, seven days of early access to new operators, a 10 percent discount in the in-game shop, a 5 percent renown boost and a 0.3 percent Alpha Pack boost.
However, players are reporting in several posts on the official Rainbow Six Siege forums that PS4 customers have only been receiving the 600 Rainbow Six Credits when they have purchased the pass over the last two weeks. It’s unclear if this is an issue that faces every player that has bought the pass, or just a select few.
As for a solution to this issue, Ubisoft has largely been quiet. The company has yet to issue an official statement acknowledging this issue, or warning players about it. However, Ubisoft has responded to a majority of the forum posters that have experienced this issue, saying that it is working on a solution and is hoping to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Polygon has reached out to Ubisoft for comment.
So far, the Year Three Pass should be granting owners access to the two operators that have been released so far in 2018, Lion and Finka. It will soon unlock early access for the two operators that are likely to be released at the beginning of June.

[h=1]Rainbow Six Siege anti-toxicity moderation ramps up, with immediate bans[/h]
[h=2]Ubisoft confirms it has a new system in place to deal with slurs[/h]

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege started getting very focused moderation back in the spring with the explicit goal of getting players’ hate speech out of its multiplayer experience. Now,reports PC Gamer, the publisher confirms it has implemented a new system that is quickly handing out bans of varying length when slurs are spotted in the game’s chat.
To wit: One redditor tested out Rainbow Six Siege’s “toxicity filter” yesterday and instantly after typing a slur, got ejected from the match and received a ban.
The sanctions are not all permabans; according to the game’s code of conduct (whose terms were updated June 11), it’s 30 minutes the first time, two hours on second and third offenses, and further offenses get an investigation of the account that could lead to a permanent ban.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, which launched in 2015, is mainly a multiplayer game; the shooter has no campaign mode but it does have a solo mission series.
Some have complained about the swift justice; the game’s official Twitter account isn’t having it.

In another tweet, the managers said that “Fighting against toxicity and cleaning up the Siegeenvironment is a very real and important issue.”
On Reddit — where an /Games thread was locked because of abusive hate talk in the comments — players said the filter’s fast action is, amusingly, even being exploited by players looking to get opponents thrown out. For example:
“I feel like a dick, but I used this to my advantage earlier today,” wrote Rook_Boi. “In a ranked game I typed in chat ‘don’t be racist’, and an enemy got instantly kicked because I baited him into typing something racist.” Another commenter said they saw users trying to lure others into getting moderated by using loaded questions in chat.

Ubisoft went on the move back in March when it said it would start issuing bans to players who use racist slurs, homophobic slurs, and other forms of hate speech in Rainbow Six Siege. (The policy only involved the game on Windows PC; players on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are subject to Sony and Microsoft’s codes of conduct).
But at the time, Ubisoft said it would be charting “tracking the frequency at which language that violates the Code of Conduct is used by individual players.” Now it seems like a single use is good enough to get someone thumbed.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is currently in its third season of content. In March, the game also saw an all-time high player count on PC.

[h=1]Ubisoft offers first details for ‘Grim Sky’ the next season on Rainbow Six: Siege[/h]

[h=2]Two new operators and a map coming[/h]

Rainbow Six: Siege will get two new operators when the next season of content launches later this year on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
Operation Grim Sky is the name of the next update for the tactical shooter. The first operator belongs to the defender class. She’s a Brit, a cop “who’s an expert on mob behavior and snatch-squad tactics.”
The second operator is an attacker, an American with “a remarkably sharp mind when it comes to tactical operations.”
Ubisoft Montreal also said that Rainbow Six: Siege would rework the Hereford Base map to “raise the bar for competitive play.”
Operation Grim Sky will also bring in weapon modifications to correct a misalignment issue with weapon sights.
More details on what Operation Grim Sky will deliver are coming Aug. 17 to Aug. 19 at the Six Major in Paris, an inaugural Rainbow Six: Siege esports tournament packing a $350,000 prize pool, with $150,000 going to the winning club.

I have a question,ive been playing since the beta and ive had ptcl since then,since 3 years ive always played on europe servers now ptcl isnt exactly the best but used to get 160 ms so i never complained about it,but now ever since chimera ,some weeks my data center changes to seas and my ping on eu goes to 300,and while im playing my ping just fluctuates between 120 to 280 on seas,I just wanna know if i should switch to fiber link or nayatel or do they also prioritise seas servers,I understand that its a better ping but theres barely a playerbase compared to europe (almost no matches after midnight)

Well the issue you have mentioned is not new. This happens a lot with R6 players of Pakistan.
I was just playing on weu server with 130-140 ping and I am using Connect atm, but sometimes Connect goes full shit and gives high ping too.
I also play using Zong 4G sometimes, and I get good pings in seas servers only (around 100ms).
Sometimes I get good pings on seas server while using Connect.
I would suggest try Zong, but it really depends on your area or city, use it for trial basis but I cant recommend any particular service that will always give you good ping in weu.

    if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

    Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

    tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
